"We have been waiting for the city of Richmond to come out and do an inspection so we know what all we are supposed to get to fix the issue. Customer was informed. We have still not had a response from the city of Richmond. We are a licensed company through the state of Kentucky. We have had no other complaints from clients at all. This is not how we conduct business. As for the $5000 the customer is claiming to have paid we have receipts of only receiving $3,803.01 for the material that was bought at Lowe’s in Richmond as to which we were shorted and had to come out of pocket for without the customers money trying to be nice for the inconvenience and for half of the labor. The decks were built after we figured out we specifically had to go through the city of Richmond to get a specific license through them which we had never had to do before this was all new to us and even the owner/customer agreed it was new to them as well. The only things we were told needed replaced were the 4x4 posts with 6x6 posts. We have not blocked the customers number but don’t mind a bit to reach out to them on the phone or in email so every conversation is documented. The customer never paid us $5,000.00 that was the total cost of the bid we didn’t even get the back half of the labor. Once we found out the posts needed to be replaced, we offered to come out of our own pockets to replace that material that didn’t meet code. We also have been continuously trying to get through to Richmond city authority to get it resolved. We cannot work on the decks until the inspection is scheduled and implemented. In response we don’t mind to finish out the job as soon as Richmond gets in contact with us about the inspector coming out. We have paperwork stating that the only replacements needed were the 4 main posts. Also have the proof of the amount we were paid and it was NOT $5000.00 technically we are still owed $2,175.00"
