They were really reasonable. The front desk people are not so friendly, other than that the doctor is good.

I have been going to this office for years. I have seen both Dr Heye and Dr Sheehan. I will say that if you want a vet to sugar coat the truth, Dr Heye is not for you. He is an EXCELLENT vet and TRULY cares for your animal but he is very direct. Dr Sheehan is great as well. We have seen them both. Recently Dr Sheehan has seen us through a very difficult time in which a severe allergy caused my cat to be hospitalized. Dr Sheehan took the time to help me with a food trial. So far so good *fingers crossed* Dr Heye was not a part of this recent event, but he has been in the past. He always returned my calls and was very helpful with any follow up questions.

We had an elderly, ill 13 year old American Bulldog. We had an appointment for him to be seen for coughing up blood. The morning of the appointment our boy's condition worsened dramatically. When my husband picked him up to carry him to the car, it was like he knew he didn't have to keep fighting any longer. I do not know what happened at that time, but in the short ride to the clinic, it was clear, our dog of 13 years was actively dying. When we arrived at the office the staff at the front desk was so sweet and took us straight to a room. As if this day could not get any worse, it took a unforgivable nose dive. When Dr Heye arrived in the room one of his first statements was, and quot; This dog is dying. Why did you bring him here? He needs emergency treatment, if he got into rat poison or something there is nothing we can do here to help him.and quot; He was told that we had an appointment for him and quot;coughing up blood.and quot;To which he replied, and quot; Not here you did not. We would not have made an appointment for that.and quot; I was dumbfounded, It was most obvious that we were in the right place as the staff at the desk had us in the book at the time we arrived, for an illness appointment for and quot;coughing up bloodand quot;. It was explained to him that this was an elderly bulldog, that there had been a condition with a tumor, but that this current health state had escalated dramatically within the last two hours and then explained the last 20 minutes, to which he replied, and quot;So what do you want me to do, he is dying. If you ant to save him you need to take him to an emergency clinic.and quot; At this point we are distraught, we are crying and in disbelief He has yet to touch our family pet, who is clearly in distress at this point. I am a paramedic, and I am watching this dog, dying, suffering in front of me, his breathing is slowing, I can feel his heart rate dropping and he says, and quot;Well I will leave the room while you figure out what you want to do.and quot; What we wanted to do was to take our dog to a vet who was going to treat him with dignity, and discussed if there was somewhere we could take him so this disgrace of a human would no be the last person who had contact with our boy. When he left the room the two females at the desk came in, they were crying with us, they were apologizing for him, they were telling us how sorry they were for his behavior, and quot;We are so sorry, he is so hateful.and quot; We decided to have him put down there, for fear of him suffering any longer. After he did the procedure, this and quot;manand quot; never returned to the room; the vet techs carried our family pet back into the room, continuing to apologize for DR Heye's behavior, attitude, words... he never apologized for our loss, he never pet our dog, he never shook our hands, he never saw us again. I can not begin to explain the depth of emotional pain this caused us and our family. When we were checking out, I begged the staff to be sure he was not to handle our dogs body, that although he was gone, he deserved to be treated better than that disgusting Vet would have. The staff was still in tears with us, they were looking over their shoulder around the door, where this foul man was peeking around a door to see if we were still there. There was a female Vet we had seen several times before that was wonderful, the staff stated, and quot;We wish she was here. We just can't even begin to say how sorry we are that you had to deal with him.and quot; I spent a month plotting a way to ruin his business, but that is not who I am. It was not until recently when we had to have a second beloved dog put down; it was at this point when I realized how truly tragic the ordeal at LaGrange Animal Clinic was. My husband, part in tears due to the recent loss of our second boy, and in part still mourning the details of our bulldogs passing stated, and quot;I just wish Onyx could have had such a dignified end of life. He deserved this, he didn't deserve that.and quot; Im in tears typing this, this will forever be one of my lives biggest regrets, I feel like I failed him that day. I feel like he trusted me to be his voice when he didn't have one and I failed him. Dy Heye will NEVER get our business again, I will NEVER forget the way he treated a helpless animal and I urge any and everyone to search for a different vet.

We've been taking our in- and-outdoor cats to Drs Hey (male) and Hines (female) 8+ years. I originally met Dr Hey through my work with our county wildlife rehabber, a vet tech.. Dr Hey consulted free for her. I specialized in skunk rehab and Dr Hey got my preventative rabies vaccine for me. The rehabber is now the country animal control person, and Dr. Hey partnered with Dr. Hines in the past couple of years. These are animal lovers and owners who are kind and considerate to their patients and their owners. They are there for emergencies, and even have found homes for a couple of stray cats for us (one now lives with Dr Hey's mother). The prices are quite reasonable (esp compared to what we used to pay in nearby Louisville). No way I'd take my numerous cats anywhere else.

I used La Grange Animal Hospital about a month ago. The pricing is really low, it's very good. They are very good with animals, very pleasant to work with and they sit down and explain what to do and not do and how to care to take care of this and take care of that. You can give then a call, you don't have to go in for an appointment every time. You can tell them this is happening and they will tell you want to do over the phone. That's not a usual thing. They are excellent. I have referred them to various other people.

Recently moved to Kentucky from another state and needed to find a veterinarian as we have 4 indoor cats. We are retired and have limited money to spend. Phoned several vet clinics in the Oldham County area asking what they charge for a routine annual physical along with shots.. This vet was the most reasonable and the closest in travel time so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try them and take just 2 cats to start. I was EXTREMELY pleased. All the personnel were friendly and courteous. Dr. Heye was very professional, friendly and great handling my 7-year-old Siamese and Oriental short-hair cats. I definitely plan to return with my other 2 Oriental short-hair cats soon.

I just can't say enough good things about Dr. Hines and this clinic. We recently moved into this area and did not yet have a vet for our animals. One of our cats is an indoor/outdoor cat who ... has issues. He can be very aggressive and unfriendly towards strangers. This was exacerbated by the fact he had somehow gotten some nasty pod like thing with wicked thorns stuck in his tail. He couldn't work them out, it got infected and he was miserable. It's Saturday and this being the only vets office I could find in this small town I called and explained our situation and they said bring him in. We did and we were seen in a matter of minutes. Dr. Hines is kind, caring and she listens. I am just so thankful for her help, the staff, and being available to help us on such short notice. On top of that they didn't charge an arm and a leg to treat him. He was going to have to be sedated before they could examine him because of his aggressive nature, plus shave his tail and check for any other pods and thorns, on a Saturday when they close at 1pm and it was 11:45 when we brought him in. Seriously, she is our vet of choice from here on out. I can't imagine going anywhere else now. I am so so thankful for the care our Stewie received.

I have two dogs. Dr. Heye is the vet there. He is much more reasonable and an office visit is $35 if I take one dog or two dogs. He is real patient. I call him if I have a question. My dogs are both big and I buy six pills and I go every three months. One is shepherd lab mix and the other one is Australian shepherd mix.
