It went very well.  There were 2 men who showed up at the appointment time.  The family room walls were not a real challenge but the stair-well was because it is very deep.  Since a lighter paint was going over a darker paint, the men had to paint 2 coats on the walls.  There were no messes, they cleaned up after themselves, and I saw no problems with the work they did.  I will definitely use them again in the future.

To be fair, other than needing to have them return to finish some work, they did a decent job on the exterior. However, on the interior, it was a very different story. They didn't finish drywall as they agreed to do on the front end, tried to use a different type of paint than agreed to, used the wrong color for the trim, did not primer areas that should have been primed (paint is peeling now), got paint on door hardware and mirrors, did not remove switchplate and outlet covers while painting, didn't get the coverage right (needs additional coats) and missed some areas entirely. So all in all, it was a very sloppy job. The biggest issue in my mind was that when I discussed this with the gentleman who bid on the job, he more or less argued with me. Even after returning to correct some issues, there were still a lot of problems remaining. I would have had them come out again, but my wife perceived a change in their demeanor the first time they had to return and was not comfortable with having them out again. That being said, we decided to cut our losses at that point.
