In every circumstance they did an outstanding job and were punctual and professional in every way. They came when they said they would and left a wonderful finished product. They are not cheap, but you get your money's worth. They don't start and then leave to work on another job. They stay with it till they are done, with only occasionally a missed day that is explained in advance. All their sub-contractors are equally professional and skilled. I always recommend Huber and Behle for quality work.

As smoothly as being without a kitchen could be.  They were very considerate, moving the refrigerator into the dining room so we could use it.  No major crises, just steady, competent work.  Ours was the first bamboo floor they had done, so they had some concern but everything went well and is still terrific today.  It has been a while so the details have faded.  We are very happy with the kitchen.

We worked together on planning the kitchen makeover.  Dennis had better ideas than I did but he was attentive to my desire to keep the pantry and have the island seats looking at the backyard rather than at the stove (who wants to eat dinner looking at the dishes to be washed later?).
The work schedule went smoothly--a bit more slowly than normal because we went on an overseas trip for most of August.  Work did continue while we were away, though.
The only thing I would do differently is to have a drawer base  as part of the cupboards.  Somehow the guy at the supplier didn't mention that possibility (or it just didn't register with me).  When I discovered I needed drawers for linens and kitchen stuff, Jeff the carpenter built some and installed them in the cabinet base.

We got designs and bids from 3 different contractors.  Varying in minor details of design, they were pretty much the same.  We decided to go with a Kentucky contractor partly because of travel issues and mostly because we felt that we were most "in tune" with Huber and Behle.  They seemed to understand best what we wanted to do---like not ditching the built-in pantry.
As we expected, the tear-out phase was messy--lots of dust--but mostly contained to the kitchen (the dog didn't help by going in and out of the dust barriers).
Once that was done, the project moved along step by step.  The project manager and chief carpenter, Jeff, kept things moving.  All of the contractors were neat, cleaned up each night and took care as they worked.  When we got as far as the countertops, there was a slight delay.  We left for a month-long trip to Asia and when we got home, the countertops and sink were in, the appliances moved back and all but a few final details were done.
It felt wonderful to come home to a brand new kitchen!
I definitely recommed Huber and Behle for their gentle design guidance, the professionalism and skill.  And they were very easy to work with.

Dennis Behle is very knowledgeable and is a very pleasant man. Once I met with him I very much wanted to work with him. Doug was also very polite and considerate, and he did fine work. Dennis was kind enough to come out to my house twice, so that he could discuss the solution with my neighbor, who had some reservations about it. My only complaint about Mr. Behle, is he is very hard to contact; he does not answer phone calls very often. He is very busy, which is understandable, considering the quality of his work and his fair price. I had to be very persistent and keep contacting him in order to set up a time for the work. Once the work began, it was done in a timely manner with no hassle at all.
