Brandon did a great job of stripping two layers of old paint off our bathroom tile and refinishing the tile and tub.  The job took longer than expected, but Brandon stuck to his original price quote.  He did excellent work and is very detail-oriented.  He even came back to our house to retouch the paint when we damaged it by accident.  I highly recommend Brandon.

American Refinishing has done several bathrooms for me over the years.  John used to do the work, but has since retired.  The work since he retired is not very good. They glazed a tub and the finish was peeling. It has a 5 yr guarantee, but peeled after about two yrs. I called and they came out and looked at it. They said the area was too large for repair and they would not offer any solution. If it were done properly it would not have peeled after two years and they did not stand behind their work. I called several times and left emails for the office. They ignored both.
 
Instead of reglazing the tub for free and keeping a good customer, they lost me for good.
 
I use Advantage Refinishers now and they do an awesome job. Do not hire this company unless John comes out of retirement!

Scheduled appointment for them to come at 11:00am and also redeemed my online coupon. Received call from contractor that he would be about an hour late. Received another call some time after to say he was twenty minutes away. Arrived at 1:00pm and apologized right away. Got right to work and was finished around 6:15pm. Took the time to explain that we'd need to let the bathtub surface dry and the bathroom to air out for 48 hours. We gave it three days before entering and using the tub. Noticed a couple of blemishes ("slides") later the following week and called. They came back about two weeks later and smoothed them out in short order. The tub looks great now, and we're very happy. Other than the two hour delay on arrival, we were very satisfied and would recommend American Refinishing. Thanks!

The finished product is acceptable enough for an apartment unit, but it is far from perfect. I had to ask the guy to come back because there were very visible dried drip marks in two large spots on the shower walls, making the whole thing look unprofessional. He came back and sanded the areas, but the problem was that when he was "done," those areas were obviously dulled in comparison to the glossy bright white on the rest of the tiles. I called again and were told he would be out to buff it. I don't know that he ever came back (this was an unoccupied apartment at the time, so he came and went without me needing to let him in). I never got a call back from the company to follow up, and just gave up on it because I needed to move forward in getting the place rented. I would not use this company again.

The technician/worker who came to my home took twice as long to complete the work as anticipated.  His reason for extra time was "he forgot I wanted the tub to be white to match the toilet so he had to apply the color a second time".  I didn't discuss any other colors with this gentlemen so I don't know how he became confused with what color to apply.  A day later I found a small spot where the new color did not appear to cover the old color and I did have the company return to patch this area.  They did not come back when scheduled so I had to call the technician and ask him where he was, he explained he was on his way.  He then patched the spot.  In fairness to this company they feel another workman (I was having the bathroom remodeled) may have caused a chip which exposed the old color.
The smell is very strong and this was never mentioned in preliminary discussions of the process.  The tub that was refinished is in a bathroom without a window so as a result my entire upstairs smelled.  
Not sure I would go this route again.

Everything that I was told was completed to my satisfaction

The first appointment was set up for 10am, and the individual performing the work was an hour late,.  They contacted me after I left a message with them.  Once the individual showed up, he was very task oriented, explained the job, and how long he thought it would take.  He finished in the time that he stated.  The 2nd appointment was a no show, no call, and it was to fix a couple of items that had come off, we think it was due to painters tape used, and pulled some of the glazing off.  After leaving  a couple messages, American Refinishing followed up the next day, and expressed there failure and apologized.  The field tech had phone issues and was unable to contact anyone until later in the evening.  We set up a 3rd appointment to get these small items fixed for a week later.  For the 3rd appointment the individual showed up right on time, worked on the couple of items and completed them in 20 minutes.  Overall they did a good job, price was right, but punctuality was the only issue.

The price depends on what they do. They charged me $300 for the tiles and $300 for the tub. They were really good and everything was excellent. They were here when they said that they are going to be here. They said that they were going to be here for 5 to 6 hours and that’s how long it was. They did an excellent job. I am looking at it right now and it’s a wonderful job. The price was pretty reasonable. They got back to me pretty quickly. I would definitely use their services in the future too and there’s no doubt about that.

The service person that they sent out was nice and explained everything that he was doing. Overall, it was a good experience.

They did the job when they said they were going to do it and in the time allotted. I wasn't particularly happy about the molding around the tub between the tub and the tile. It didn't look neat and it wasn't what I had expected when I asked for the molding. I wasn't home when the work was done and they did refinish the tub. My husband didn't have any complaints when they were here. I didn't contact them back for the molding.

Great. I received a quote over the phone and scheduled an apointment. I had another tub refinished several years ago with this company. THe worker was a little late but called and apologized. My tub looks beautiful and my bathroom was left spotless.

Was delayed by weather ventilated the area. Quality application, could have used more tarps to cover hardwood floor.
