We had a valve go out on our hot water heater along with a low-pressure issue in our bathroom. Dillon and Gino, from United Plumbing, got both issues repaired quickly and professionally. The whole transaction was very smooth and reasonably priced. I really appreciate all of their work. I highly recommend United Plumbing and their team to handle any of our plumbing needs!

Louisville Water determined that our water line had a severe leak. We reached out to HomeServe USA, which is the insurance carrier that we use via Louisville Water. HomeServe opened a ticket with United Plumbing on 12/23/2016. United Plumbing arrived and determined that we did in fact have a leak, but asked to hold off repair until the following business day given the holiday. They were able to setup a temporary line of service to get us through the holiday and assured us that they would be back first thing on 12/27. They never arrive on the morning of 12/27. When I called to inquire on the timing, I was informed that we were not on the schedule and that the crew should not have told me they would be here on 12/27. The temporary line then froze and we had no water. I called on the morning of 12/28 and they had someone out here that morning. They determined that there were multiple leaks in the water line and that we would need a new line installed. They said that some one would be out the following day to provide estimate and to schedule the repair. We are now in our third week since the claim was initially opened and United plumbing has not contacted us or been back out to our property since 12/28. We have been told everything from plumber is out sick, they are backed up from holidays, it's too cold to dig, they have to out source dig; to they don't have the parts. Finally, after daily calls for the past week, we were able to get HomeServe to have a different and reputable plumbing company assigned to the job. This company clearly cannot handle plumbing jobs beyond small faucet leaks.

They cleaned it and gave us really good advice on how to keep it clean. They were also very honest with us; the previous company didn't strike me as being very truthful. They were great!

This company was sent to me under my home warranty company. I will NEVER contact them again as the plumbing issue was misdiagnosed -- saying there was no plumbing issue causing the water in my house -- and the company signed off as a non-plumbing issue. 7 days later I still have water in the house that has extended to two bedrooms, the hotwater heater closet, and a hallway. A second plumber was sent in and within  10 minutes a simple leak in the wall was found. My two bedroom floors are ruined plus hallway. Now United Plumbing's insurance company denies any liability for the ruined floors. Because this company misdiagnosed a simple leak, I have $2000 of brand new Pergo flooring ruined in my house. They are irresponsbile, unprofessional (refusing to return calls, and their insurance company hung up on me and cut me off mid-sentence), and untrustworthy, in my opinion. I cannot and will not recommend this company to anyone.

Everything went great. United gave me a quote that saved me over $400 over a competitor and they were able to perform the work on very short notice. The contractor I used to lay the tile even commented that they did an excellent job at a very reasonable price. The final product was exactly what I had requested.

It was a warranty and they did not charge us. They were on time. There was nothing that I did not like. The person was really friendly. He explained things.

The issue was the Pos-Temp cartridge...which I explained to the person who scheduled service...the individual was late showing up and upon starting the job was perplexed as to how to remove said valve...I proceeded to tell him there is a special tool...but even after that...he still proceeded to attempt to remove the valve without the tool. He broke the tip of his flat blade screwdriver off and even broke the valve stem off the cartridge. In addition to that...I know he was putting undue stress on the solder joints on my pipes in the wall because they were(pipes) squeaking in the holes drilled in the studs. At last he he finally decided to heed my advice and left to get the tool. After his return...after almost 50 minutes...he finally removed the Posi-temp cartridge...installed the new one...and tested operation...
After 2.5 hours...he finally had it fixed.
This repair was covered by my Home Warranty...except for the trade-call fee(co-pay)...
I believe I would have been better off purchasing the cartridge and tool from Home Depot for $50 and doing it myself!

In one of my apartments I had a hot water faucet that wouldn't turn off. I just bought the building, and found out that the tenants had been turning off the hot water to the entire apartment at the hot water heater in order to turn off the hot water in the shower. When I saw the volume of water that was coming out of the and quot;turned offand quot; valve I thought that it couldn't possibly be a ten cent washer. I called my home warranty company and had a plumber come out. The sent Brent from United plumbing. He arrived on time, and presented a neat, clean, and professional appearance. After just a few minutes he determined that it was in fact a ten cent washer. Turns out that there wasn't even a washer in the valve. He put in the washer, and tested the valve in a matter of a few minutes, and left the place a little cleaner than he found it.
He did also take the time to listen to an odd noise coming from the water heater, and teach me what I had to do to maintain it. He probably saved me a massive water heater problem and a lot of money in those few minutes.

Our home warranty suggested them. We had to keep paying the copay every time they came out even though they kept coming back for the same reason. They told us that the piping coming into our water heater was wrong. The inspector didn't see anything wrong with it. I wouldn't recommend them or use them again.

I got the original estimate in August of 2010, then promptly lost my job. I had gotten estimates from two other plumbing companies, both of whom required that I buy their plumbing hardware (at a profit), and both were much more expensive. At United, i worked with Patrick. I let my wife pick out the hardware she wanted at the hardware store, and she wasn't restricted to a certain brand or style. Even though the estimate for the job was done ten months earlier, he honored the estimate, and performed the service. He showed up on time, and did a great job. I also asked him to repair the water valve and he did that as well.

Used United on a number of occasions through our Home Owners Warranty - some good and some not so good experiences. It just depends on who shows up at your door on any particular day.
