I took my great dane puppy in for a check-up and vaccinations; she was new to me and I wanted to make sure she was healthy. Front office folks were great but appointment went down hill from there...The vet on call did not even touch my dog; did not listen to her heart, check her ears or look at her eyes; the tech did her blood work and stool sample plus drew up the shots and administered them all while the doctor stood off to the side after she finally came into the room. The tech and another assistant did Josie's nails again while she stood back. The appointment was very costly and distressing to me since I didn't see the vet. I had made an appointment to have her spayed and cancelled because I was afraid that if this vet did the surgery and Josie got into trouble would she be involved enough to react timely??

Terrible! Here is the entire back story and results. We took our dog to be seen for several days of not eating, weakness, and lethargy. The Vet that came in was terrible. Her assessment took around 45 seconds, and she barely touched him. After blood work and fecal revealed nothing acute, so decided that he needed "more" blood work to test his Thyroid and told us how much the medicine is and how often we would come back to recheck (she wanted to start him on the medication right away with the more in depth test also). She also gave hime antibiotics, nausea medication, and powder to sprinkle on food. We both felt right away this was not right! Next morning our dog could barely walk. We took him to another vet in Lexington who took exceptional care of him. The vet did a PROPER assessment and found he is having back pain. He got a steroid shot in the office with pills to take home, including nerve pain medication. After one day of treatment and our boy is eating and moving better. We were also advised to stop all medication the first vet gave us. So we were out $290.00 for the visit to Scott County Vet. We called and asked for at least a partial refund since there diagnosis and treatment plan was so far off, but I will let you guess how that went. We asked for a return call from the primary vetinarian to file a complaint for such terrible care and assessment, but never received a call. They got there $290.00 out of us, and that is all that matters to them!

They are wonderful, very caring, kind, and extremely skilled and competent. I usually have an appointment so I usually only wait 10 minutes. The vets are very gentle and nice.

We got personal updates by text and by Facebook several times during her week long stay. They say she did good.

I love them; they're great with the dogs. I like the girls who are there and the veterinarian. I like them much better than the one I had before. They don't treat you like a number and they do take personal care of your animals.

Upon arriving I was greeted by a very friendly girl at the front desk. The veterinarian took my dog and I right in for treatment. She was very gentle and attentive with my dog (Sox) which put Sox at ease with her. She talked with Sox like she was human and treated her the same. Although she was talking with Sox, she kept me in the conversation as well so that I knew what was going on. She answered my questions professionally. I will take Sox back to her from now on for care. Check out was quick and efficient. The cost(s) was $30-$40 lower thank Central KY Vet.
