Could not be happier. Everything was done perfectly. All of CGW's teams pay a lot of attention to details and only do things the right way the first time. Charlie sees to it that nothing gets less than the best and is an amaing problem solver. The flooring was a double herringbone pattern using 6 x 36 porcelain tiles and it came out perfectly. Excellent trim solutions and amazingly good where complex cuts were needed.

I had used CGW before when I purchased a deal last year. After that deal I had some roof work done by the company as well. When I needed exterior painting and gutters done, I called them again, I did not get other estimates as I was very comfortable with the company and the owner Charlie Warren. Everything was arranged and the work was done without my being at home, I had that much confidence in him. He and his painting contractor evaluated the surface which was vinyl and metal and required special paints, they arranged for what was needed so I could just pick it up at a supplier very convenience to my home. I added to the project several times and that created no issues, Charlie worked with me and we stayed in touch to understand what I wanted and it was done to my satisfaction. Trim painting turned into also doing the siding, then the gutters. I was pleased with all the work and the process. Any time I need anything done at my home I will call CGW first, he has my trust, I feel the pricing is fair and he'll do what he promises.

Charlie wisely had the utilities marked out before he would start work. He and I found the property line marker on the curb and also int the back yard. He marked out the property line and advised that we build a few inches inside the line to be on the safe side.
He also advised me to speak with the neighbor to get permission to step onto their property while building. Which she did, and he agreed to make sure not to leave any  nails on her property as she requested.
He did a nice job and cleaned up the area after of all trash. He built two gates and sloped the wood to follow the slope on the ground so it looked natural and professional. My only complaint was he didn't think to tie a string the lock to open it from the other side, but that's no big deal. I will definitely use Charlie again in the future.

Charlie went out of his way to make sure the new siding matched the old, even though the old is more than 20 years old. He showed up on time and was prepared with all needed equipment and tools. Cleaned up completely, worked efficiently. Easy to work with, explained process, estimate was right on.

He had to redo everything in my bathroom. He had to level the floor, re-do the electrical and plumbing work, install a new tub and many other other things. The tile work that he did is absolutely beautiful. I feel so lucky that I have a true master bathroom now. His professionalism is wonderful. We met before and after the job started, and he made me feel so comfortable. I never had any worries or concerns that were not met with his undivided attention.

It was a fine experience. They did a verbal consultation for the kitchen, which lasted 45 minutes.  They just conferred with some ideas that I was considering.

Came when he said, had needed supplies and tools, had things we didn't anticipate needing.. Did everything and more in a timely manner. Noticed that my stair rail was loose and repaired that on the spot. Gave advice/opinion on a tile job I will need soon. I plan to do it myself. He gave me ideas about several possibilities, things I hadn't thought of. Cleaned up from all projects. House looks better now than it did before he came!

Terrific work. I will never use anyone else again! Listened well, explained well, easy to work cooperatively with, has great workers that I trust to be here even when I'm not. Very reasonable prices especially when you consider the amount and type of work done. It will be done correctly the first time and he doesn't want to put his name on anything substandard. Charlie is even-tempered and is a real gentleman. Genuinely wants to do the best job possible, and goes over and above the call of duty to help, even with things that aren't part of the project (lifting heavy bags of dirt for a garden I was putting in, picking up things I needed when he was making a trip to the hardware store. I could go on and on about how I feel about Charlie and his work. Please feel free to message me with any questions. I highly recommend Charlie!

The last time we spoke with him, it was in order to confirm with him that he was fired from this job.

We bought our cabinets through him, because he told us we had to in order to get his pricing. I did not have to. I could have gone to the wholesaler myself and saved myself his markup. In fact, he's been milking us throughout the entirety of this project. The cost of the cabinets started out at around $8,000.00, until we decided to change the color. We kept absolutely everything else about them the same, from the same manufacturer, but just changed the color. Somehow, the price increased to near $10,000.00. The cost of this project kept increasing, and we eventually had to look into cutting back some costs. Charlie recommended cutting out a few high-dollar items from our plans, and we agreed. The cost of these items was very nearly $1,000.00, but Charlie only reduced our cost by about $500.00. We even went to the hardware store to purchase some materials, and we used his contractor account. They offered us 10% off our order, and we gladly went to pay with our own card. They said no, to run it through Charlie's account so he could bill us for it himself. They assured us that they still applied the discount they offered, but somehow by the time it got back to us, it had magically shrunk to a 5% discount. I can't say that I'm surprised. Between the lies, the laziness, the gouging, and the profanity-laden screaming match between he and my husband, we no longer want anything to do with him.
Response from CGW Properties LLC
"First of all, I would like to sincerely apologize for allowing this situation to get out of control. Here at CGW Properties LLC, we strive to be fair, and honest in our pricing structure. Most importantly, we believe in being professional and precise at all times. Due to unforeseen circumstances, effective communication between myself and this client became somewhat difficult, which led to the client and I having a disagreement. As a business owner, and a professional, I do not condone this type of behavior, and I recognize and acknowledge my own mistake in this and I humbly apologize for my actions. I wish you all the best with your project. Best Wishes Charlie Warren"

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were wonderful. They were great at communication and easy to work with. They were really a lot of fun. They made it as painless as possible. They worked really well within my tight budget. The whole thing was really painless. I would absolutely use them again.

The owner of CGW Properties, Charlie Warren, was one of the nicest people I've ever worked with, was absolutely committed to my being happy with the service and took as much time as needed to find a final resolution. Sometimes things are not as simple as they seem but Charlie worked with me until we solved the problem and I am very pleased.

After moving into our home there were a lot of small jobs that needed to be done. I had a very long list of items to be completed, and placed them in order of importance to complete as many as possible before time ran out. Charlie was able to complete all of them! Had 48 drawers and cabinets to have pulls and knobs put on. He made quick work of measuring, drilling, and installing. Even though mounting hardware came with 2 different sizes, neither worked. He was having to cut the screw/bolt to be the right measurement, before deciding time wasn't being spent wisely, so I bought some that were the right size...much quicker! Several of my cabinet doors weren't level with each other. As Charlie was installing the knobs, he took it upon himself to adjust them to be level. I very much appreciated it, because the unevenness had bothered me. As well as reverse 2 of the cabinet doors so they'd open the direction I wanted. He placed, drilled, installed child safety latches in 37 drawer & cabinets. Installed curtain roads with center supports, installing anchors where needed. He pleasantly allowed me to check curtain heights and widths to make sure it was exactly where I wanted them. Master bedroom curtain rod was very wide, and the center support was the wrong depth. He came up with an idea to swap the bracket with one of the others to make it work! My bathroom door, while locked, could be pulled open. He came up with a way to fix that! Replaced the lighted doorbell. The sliding glass door safety lock didn't line up properly for me to use it. He fixed that in about 1 minute.  Replaced the kitchen faucet. The new one didn't require the plate that covers the extra holes. Once removing the faceplate, it had buildup from the old one being 10 years old. He cleaned it up so that once the new faucet was installed, you couldn't tell it use to have a plate around the old faucet.
Charlie's work was fantastic. He's very personable, yet it doesn't interfere with his ability to work accurately or quickly. He cleaned up as he went along. As a housewife having to manage repairs, I felt taken care of and respected. His quality of work was first rate!

He spent considerable time working with us on areas unrelated to the kitchen and he was a real pro. Wonderful at helping us think through buildable roof-lines, dealing with slopes, and thinking through water damaged areas.... far beyond the scope of the kitchen. He named several specialists we would need and connected us then with a fabulous designer who we like a lot to execute. I suspect he could connect us with many others and will get some of the contract himself. But he'll not be low-cost.

We needed kitchen tile backsplash installed so we  asked more than one company for an estimate. CGW was the only one that came out in a timely manner and gave us the most reasonable estimate for the work. CGW was always on time,  very friendly and professional. The work CGW did for us was great and he even help my husband with another problem we had while he was out here. We were very pleased with the finished product and will definitely be recommending him to others.

It was wonderful.  They kept me informed throughout the whole project.  The job site was clean every night because I was living there in the process.  The flow of the project was great.
