I tried contacting Ron Johns the end of Aug. 2017 because the issue he was to fix was back. If you repair something it does not come back a year later. I finally called again, 9/22/2017, and I was explaining that the repair was not done correctly since the leak was back and in the same place. Ronald Johns immediately talked over me and told me that if I would clean my gutters I would not have a leak. He also indicated that all they did was clean the gutters and applied caulk. He charged me $1700 to clean a gutter....that was cleaned prior to him coming out to my home. When I mentioned that he was suppose to have replaced the drywall where the leak had done damage and he said he had. That was a lie because the hole that was created due to the leak was mudded over and when the leak reappeared it shrunk up and is caving in. Ronald Johns said he didn't want to work for me....I would not hire Ron Johns or any of his crew. They DO NOT do quality work and Ron Johns can not be trusted.

This was an insurance job to correct an issue on a new roof that was leaking. The leak appears to be fixed. However, the work where the water damage was repaired looks like an armature completed it. The ceiling needed to be painted along with the walls. The ceiling and drywall (where it was cut and replaced) will need to be skimmed as well along with painting. The contractor that came was nice but very sloppy with his work. He dropped, splattered, and tracked paint on my new solid hardwood flooring. He painted over the patched areas without sanding. When he was finished he shook his drop cloth out on my front porch and into my fresh mulch, and the same on my back patio. There is clear silicone caulk that they let drip down on my siding that will take some effort to remove.
I contacted this company about the poor work and I was told that he would come over with a rag and Goof-Off himself to get the paint removed from my flooring.....(you do not use Goof-Off on hardwood flooring....it will take the finish off).
Mr. Johns was extremely when I originally contacted him but when I contacted him with my complaint and the opportunity to correct the work, he seemed annoyed and became agitated and was unprofessional and rude.

Our hardwood floors in the kitchen and adjacent dining room had serious damage due to water leaking from under a dishwasher. It was undetected for some period of time because it did not run out from under the dishwasher. The water had saturated the floor and sub-floor from below. I contacted Ron Johns Construction to take care of the problem. The water damage caused the hardwood floors to curl up in two large areas. This required drying the floors prior to restoring them. Ron Johns' crew brought out dehumidifiers and several large fans that were in place for over three weeks to accomplish the drying. The crew also removed a portion of the ceiling in the finished basement so that fans could be directed up toward the sub-flooring. Once the floors were dry, the crew replaced and painted the ceiling and walls that experienced damage. Once completed, Ron Johns contracted a hardwood floor professional to restore the floors. This was accomplished by sanding the entire floors in both rooms using dust-free sanders, staining and finishing. The two gentlemen who completed that work were true professionals who did an outstanding job.
I was extremely pleased with all of the work that was done to get our floors back to where they were prior to the damage. I was also impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail demonstrated by the crew and Mr. Ron Johns the owner. I highly recommend them to anyone needing work done in their homes.

Overall it went well. There was a couple of days when no work was performed because I was told they were preparing/working on the
countertops at the home office/garage. I would get a start date and end date in the contract. Whatever choices you make as far as
cabinets/ edge style, backsplash and laminate I would have those items listed in exact detail in the contract. I would advise you to do a
little homework before you contact a contractor. Look at some sample kitchens , look at the details like the edges on countertops and finishes on cabinets.
