Crone's Auto Body Inc
About us
Crone Auto Body opened in Lakeside Park on Butttermilk Pike, on January 23rd, 1953. The company was started by Carl Crone and his wife Rita. Carl started this dream with more than just an idea, he was a true visionary. He saw the business as more than just a paint shop, to him it was generational. He and his wife Rita worked in tandem to launch what is now a 3rd generation business. Our reputation for Quality at Moderate Cost was firmly established in the Crescent Springs area in these early years and continues to a vital core value. One of the key ingredients held by the staff and leadership is that we appreciate you. This appreciation to our customers and staff is more than a blind statement. To the Crone’s crew it is a value passed on from generation to generation, hence the customer and employee loyalty we receive. We know that to be effective we need to do the right things and to be efficient we need to do things right. The uncompromising attention to the details is what makes for a great business relationship. At the very core you will sense a distinct difference as you are appreciated. In late 1960′s about 90% of Crone’s Auto Body work was retail–a big shift from the early days. Crone’s Auto Body believes in keeping a strong brand that presents an infernal and external reality of moderate prices, customer appreciation and the quick turnaround. Quality Work at a Fair Price

Chad Crone gave me my initial estimate and handled the return of the car when the job was finished. He was very professional both times we met. His estimate was well below that of others in our area that came up on my Angie's List search. I was a bit leery of the bid, but decided to trust the other reviews on Angie's List. I'm glad I did, because the work was very well done and saved quite a bit of money. The repair was indistinguishable from the rest of the car. I was very pleased with Chad's professionalism and the job his shop did on my car. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.
I located Crone's Auto Body on Angie's list and it was nearby. I spoke to Jerry Crone on the phone and he said to bring it over. The insurance adjuster viewed the truck at Crone's and declared it 'totaled'. Jerry had looked it over and determined that nothing vital under the hood had been damaged; the AC condenser had cosmetic damage, but it seemed to work. Thus, the damage could be corrected by body work.
I hated to have the truck totaled, as it had low mileage for its age (12 years old) and plenty of life left in it. The body was still in great shape, other than the current damage, and it has been mechanically reliable. Jerry and I talked it over. He said he would see if he could convince the adjuster that the truck was worth more based on the low mileage, which he was sure the adjuster hadn't noticed. He explained to me that, if the cost to repair the vehicle was 75% or more than the worth of the vehicle, the insurance company would consider it totaled and refuse to repair it. Jerry said that, once he and the adjuster agreed on the actual value of the truck, he would determine how much it would cost to fix it in comparison to what the company would give me for the repairs.
I spoke to the insurance adjuster, as did Jerry, and he understood my desire to fix the truck. The value of the truck increased some due to the low mileage plus the average current value for a that model year. Jerry thought he could do the job for that amount, including replacent of the AC condenser to avoid future problems that might crop up due to the wreck.
Once all ducks were in the row, it wasn't long before Jerry had completed the job; a handful of days, really. The truck looked brand new (they even washed it, something I'm lax about doing). Jerry did a beautiful job. Having body work done elsewhere over many years, it was obvious this was a quality job done by a quality shop. I couldn't be more pleased and would definitely recommend Crone's Auto Body to anyone..
Great, very nice to talk with. No crap about how we have to do this and that, he looked at it and said it will be about $500 to fix. That is what I thought it would be and its was a fair price, they don't work for free and neither do I. They do a good job at a fair price with no shananagans. Would recommend to others without hesitation. Quality work. Total bill on pick up was $520.
PS:
I took this car to others on Angies List and got the runaround, quotes up to $1570.00 which was ridiculous for little damage involved, those places I will not return too.
