Crone's Auto Body Inc

Wrought Iron Fence Installation, Wrought Iron Fence Repair or Weld, Commercial Wrought Iron Fence Installation Service,

About us

Crone Auto Body opened in Lakeside Park on Butttermilk Pike, on January 23rd, 1953. The company was started by Carl Crone and his wife Rita. Carl started this dream with more than just an idea, he was a true visionary. He saw the business as more than just a paint shop, to him it was generational. He and his wife Rita worked in tandem to launch what is now a 3rd generation business. Our reputation for Quality at Moderate Cost was firmly established in the Crescent Springs area in these early years and continues to a vital core value. One of the key ingredients held by the staff and leadership is that we appreciate you. This appreciation to our customers and staff is more than a blind statement. To the Crone’s crew it is a value passed on from generation to generation, hence the customer and employee loyalty we receive. We know that to be effective we need to do the right things and to be efficient we need to do things right. The uncompromising attention to the details is what makes for a great business relationship. At the very core you will sense a distinct difference as you are appreciated. In late 1960′s about 90% of Crone’s Auto Body work was retail–a big shift from the early days. Crone’s Auto Body believes in keeping a strong brand that presents an infernal and external reality of moderate prices, customer appreciation and the quick turnaround. Quality Work at a Fair Price

The process was smooth and painless as possible. The guys there were very respectful and straight to the point. My car was done when they said it would be finished.

These guys are great. I had 3 other estimates for the same repair, and Crone's was the most reasonable. The dealer wanted more than twice as much for the same repair, so Crone's saved me money as their estimate was $100 less than our deductible. They are always very professional on the phone and in person. This is a family run business and you can tell they take pride in their work. The car looks brand new now. I would never have body work done anywhere else, based on this experience, but hopefully, I will never need any more body work :-)

Chad Crone gave me my initial estimate and handled the return of the car when the job was finished. He was very professional both times we met. His estimate was well below that of others in our area that came up on my Angie's List search. I was a bit leery of the bid, but decided to trust the other reviews on Angie's List. I'm glad I did, because the work was very well done and saved quite a bit of money. The repair was indistinguishable from the rest of the car. I was very pleased with Chad's professionalism and the job his shop did on my car. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Expecting to need a new bumper and prepared to make another appointment to have the work done, I was surprised when they asked for the keys and took the car to the shop.  They said they might be able to push the bumper back out and touch up the paint.  20 minutes later, it was done.  The bumper looks great.  The cost was a bargain.  I will return and send others to Crone's.  Thank you so much!

Went to this body shop after being rear ended just to get a quote to have an idea of cost. Turned out they were on the list of providers for Safe Auto, who was the insurer for the guy that hit me. Price was reasonable, not necessarily too much cheaper than others, but as I was not paying, I was not concerned about cost. Work was done as expected, vehicle looks great. They even touched up a few chips scratches on areas not affected by the collision. Can gladly recommend this body shop.

The job took one week to complete.  The results were excellent.  Repair of the damage was complete and is not at all visible.  There was a shield that was torn off and lost which was that attachment for the bumper cover.  Because of the age of the car (1995) a replacement part was not available. The shop had to fabricate this shield replacement, which extended the time of the repair from the projected 3 days to one week.  Notwithstanding this delay, I am very satisfied with the repair.  The cost of the repair was less that the original estimate.  Thank you, Crone's Auto Body.

I was in line, waiting for the light to turn green when I was rearended by an SUV. It smshed in the the rear bumper and tailgate of my medium-size pickup truck, forcing me into the ball-hitch and rear of the full-size pickup in front of me. The front bumper and grill were crumpled and the hood was damaged, as well. Fortunatley there were no leaks and the truck was driveable enough to limp home.
I located Crone's Auto Body on Angie's list and it was nearby. I spoke to Jerry Crone on the phone and he said to bring it over. The insurance adjuster viewed the truck at Crone's and declared it 'totaled'. Jerry had looked it over and determined that nothing vital under the hood had been damaged; the AC condenser had cosmetic damage, but it seemed to work. Thus, the damage could be corrected by body work.
I hated to have the truck totaled, as it had low mileage for its age (12 years old) and plenty of life left in it. The body was still in great shape, other than the current damage, and it has been mechanically reliable. Jerry and I talked it over. He said he would see if he could convince the adjuster that the truck was worth more based on the low mileage, which he was sure the adjuster hadn't noticed. He explained to me that, if the cost to repair the vehicle was 75% or more than the worth of the vehicle, the insurance company would consider it totaled and refuse to repair it. Jerry said that, once he and the adjuster agreed on the actual value of the truck, he would determine how much it would cost to fix it in comparison to what the company would give me for the repairs.
I spoke to the insurance adjuster, as did Jerry, and he understood my desire to fix the truck. The value of the truck increased some due to the low mileage plus the average current value for a that model year. Jerry thought he could do the job for that amount, including replacent of the AC condenser to avoid future problems that might crop up due to the wreck.
Once all ducks were in the row, it wasn't long before Jerry had completed the job; a handful of days, really. The truck looked brand new (they even washed it, something I'm lax about doing). Jerry did a beautiful job. Having body work done elsewhere over many years, it was obvious this was a quality job done by a quality shop. I couldn't be more pleased and would definitely recommend Crone's Auto Body to anyone..

Initially Bina thought the window track needed replace, so he ordered the part.  Once he found the track was ok, he did'nt charge for the part and fixed the winow.    Also he found a used sideview mirror at a lower cost than a new one.  good job!

Price was by far the most affordable - so much so I worried about the quality.  Angie's list and people I knew recommended them though so I went for it.  I am so glad I did.  It was done quickly, on schedule on budget and I can't even tell it was ever there.  Plus, the customer service was great and they left my car sparkly clean inside and out.

Crone's Auto Body:
Great, very nice to talk with. No crap about how we have to do this and that, he looked at it and said it will be about $500 to fix. That is what I thought it would be and its was a fair price, they don't work for free and neither do I. They do a good job at a fair price with no shananagans. Would recommend to others without hesitation. Quality work. Total bill on pick up was $520.
PS:
I took this car to others on Angies List and got the runaround, quotes up to $1570.00 which was ridiculous for little damage involved, those places I will not return too.

Crone's did a great job.  They were finished in one day and left the car looking like new.   They even detailed the interior.  They provided a reasonable estimate and stuck to it.

The estimate was on target & I only had to pay the deductible with insurance company. The work turned out great. I thought they were very honest which can be hard to find for car work. They also explained everything that they were going to do.

Whenever the car was backing out of the parking space and whenever it curved it ripped the bottom of the car, the radiator holder.  It didn’t really damage the front of the car, so we thought there is nothing wrong but there was.  We had them fix the dent at the back of the car, a small dent in the trunk they did that for $300 which I thought was a good price.  We did the estimate through my insurance company; and it took a few days for them to get out there.  They did it pretty quickly, they finished the job at reasonable amount of time and the insurance company provided a rental car, while it was being fixed.  They did a real good job.  They did auto body work, some painting and then a little bit of auto servicing like fixing the radiator holder.  They explained what they were going to do and they were very fair at the price.  I never felt they hoodwinked, they were straight forward including the work done on the trunk.  We couldn’t do that through the insurance, because it was not connected with what had happened.  So they were ethical, the guy was very nice.  One night we went to drop the car off, they were just about to close and it was raining and he was standing in the rain and checking the car and I was surprised.  I would go there again.

After bruskly being turned away from another "auto body" shop - because "they didn't do rust repairs"....I went home  - got on Angie's List and found Crone's basically in my back yard.  Company description included "rust work"...so I stopped in, talked to Jerry - who looked at my car  - and we had a very honest discussion - Jerry said  - we can fix it, it will look good - just can't say how long it will last as once rust starts it's hard to stop it. We talked some more about guestimates on it holding....my car is also in decent shape for a 10 yr old - and Jerry said he felt like it was worth the effort.  Gave me an estimate of $600 and said he would need the car for a minimum of 3 days.  Two weeks later I called to arrange dropping  the car off  - as I was going to be out of town for a few days.  Dropped it off Tues morning  - and it was ready Fri, cob.  Jerry showed me a few pics showing that the rust was greater and "more thru" than it "looked"  - so they welded some  materials in the areas, did some undercoating to try to slow the re-rusting, fix the areas, painted  - washed it and vacummed inside.  The car looks absolutely fantastic !!!   From the outside and probably untrained eye - can't even tell where they did the work.  From the moment I stepped foot in Crone's office  - to the phone calls I made - to paying the bill- I was treated in the best professional customer service manner by Jerry, Andrew and others. Would totally work with these folks again should the need arise.

We have used this company at least five times over the last 10 years. Their body and paint work couldn't be better. They are always extremely personable and professional. They re- did the whole side of my Toyota Highlander a few years ago and it looked new again. I can't say enough about the quality of their work.
