Servpro of Anderson Franklin and Scott Counties

ServPro of Georgetown did not follow ServPro best practices defined in IICRC S500 Industry Standard for Water Damage Restoration which states that water mitigation is to be complete in 3 to 5 days.  Based on my crawl space area, IICRC S500 states that you should have placed 10 to 12 fans and at least one 75 pint dehumidifier immediately.         Instead you wiped down my crawl space with anti-microbial turned up my 10 pint dehumidifier full blast and left.  After 5 days I’d heard nothing from you so I checked the crawlspace to find it wet and musty, no fans and my own dehumidifier running full blast.      Furthermore, you told me and even wrote in email that you had sanded my whole crawl space before applying the anti-microbial.  Your team had no idea when I asked about sanding and said ‘that would be too hard.’     Your lack of regard for ServPro criteria to follow IICRC S500 Industry Standard for Water Damage Restoration delayed drying out my craw for another 10 days. I also request a roll of 1000 feet of 20 foot wide 6 mil plastic to replace the vapor barrier ServPro removed.   My experience is lack of customer service combined with a self-important attitude and deceit combined to make this a very unpleasant experience. During the last 10 days it’s been 70 degrees creating a much worse condition in my crawl space.

They were prompt and did a great job.  However, their price is extremely high.  My insurance agent and roofer were shocked at the price, as was I.
