My routine at Kroger gas pumps is to ask clerk to put $ on Woodford County Humane Society charity gift gard from my debit/credit card. By using this gift card to pay for items, Kroger will donate % to the associated charity. Well, in the past, I was told that I had to wait 5min for the $ to activate on gift card before I could use at pumps. On this particular visit, I was informed by the clerk that they can preset the pump so I can fillup right away with gift card. No waiting! I followed same process at pump and if full amount from gift card wasn't used, the remainder stays on card! So from the clerk's 30 sec suggestion & explanation, Kroger got faster service at gas pumps, Woodford County Humane Society got a donation & as the customer, I was 5 minutes closer to getting home to my family! Everybody won!
