My auxiliary heat came on and I was concerned. I called at 7:30 pm to ask if this was an issue that needed to be repaired immediately. The on-call tech returned my call within 20 minutes and reassured me. In the morning, I scheduled a service call, and Frank Wilkerson and Son was very responsive. The tech, Steve J., was at my house within 2.5 hours, was very personable but professional. The service was performed and the cost was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone who asked, and actually have scheduled for a twice yearly maintenance on my system.

Wilkerson has been my HVAC company since I moved to Frankfort,KY.
They have worked on my furnace, my AC, and my vent-free gas logs.
Once, when the work was not satisfactory, the owner came to my house and did the work correctly at no charge.

Our central air unit quit working on Memorial Day. I called this company after first checking with a couple of others, whose offices were apparently closed for the holiday. When I called this one, I got a call center, who took my information and told me they'd have a technician call me as soon as possible. Within 15 minutes, the technician called me for more information and to give me an approximate time of arrival. He was able to get to my house about an hour and a half later. He quickly diagnosed the problem (the capacitor) and fully explained what was wrong. He worked on the air conditioning unit in full sun in temperatures well into the 80's, including cleaning the coils, which turned out to be very dirty (he also showed me this when he took the cover off the unit). Finally, he also recharged the system with coolant, which was also low, according to his meter. In less than two hours, he had the system working fine again. Although the parts were inexpensive, his labor for working on the holiday was rather expensive, as I expected. My bill was about $300, but I was impressed that the company sent me a refund check for overpayment by about $25 within the next week (the technician must have figured something wrong when he wrote up the ticket). I was very happy with the service I got, especially on a hot holiday weekend. I will definitely call them again if I have any air conditioner or furnace problems.
