Auto Inspections
She called me to ask my opinion about the price. It seemed high for a rebuilt alternator, so I immediately called my regular mechanic who is very close to there. He drove over to look at her car, inspected it and said her alternator was just fine. She had a broken belt. (Unbelievably, she went inside and paid Chevron their $10 inspection fee!). My mechanic towed her vehicle to his nearby shop for free and charged her $25 to replace the belt. I was absolutely stunned that this station blatantly lied. I believe they were just trying to take advantage of a woman with a car problem. It was very disappointing.
