We contacted Ed on the recommendation of a neighbor. We had already had an estimate for a lesser renovation that was well out of our price range. Ed was a breath of fresh air - honest and hardworking and also flexible. Even when we came upon unexpected challenges Ed and his workers were polite and good humored. They worked in a small second floor space in the hottest part of the summer. We negotiated what things we would purchase and do and which things he would need to do. He brought in expert subcontractors when needed and made recommendations for other subcontractors we might want to talk to. Ed was reliable and trustworthy and stayed within the budget. He was also very patient when the other contractors caused delays (i.e. cabinets and countertops). He took other smaller jobs to fill in that time but we remained his priority. We love our new bathroom and will use Verst Builders again.
