We interviewed 4 architectural firms and Dwellbeing was hands down our preferred firm.  In addition to being very professional, their pricing structure made so much sense to us.  Other firms wanted to be paid a percentage of the total cost of the project.  Brent and Sara gave us an estimate based on the actual work they would perform.  They then came to the house, took pictures and listened carefully to our needs and style preferences.  They then presented us with multiple options that were all very creating and helped us to re-imagine our space.  We talked about what we liked and disliked in the different options and they melded all of the feedback into a fantastic kitchen plan!  Everyone who sees it comments of how it has totally changed the look and functionality of our home.  We love it.
For the entryway, Brent and Sara again came up with several very unique designs.  We chose one the added an "eyebrow" archway to the roofline.  It is a show stopper and many of our neighbors have stopped by to tell us how great it looks.  Throughout the entire process Brent and Sara were so easy to work with and very responsive.

Our project with Dwellbeing could not have gone better.  After the first five minutes at our house Sara and Brent had proposed the best design we had seen to date.  We had other designs in hand and their design was significantly better from a functional and overall look and fell perspective.  They quickly fired up the laptops and created the CAD drawing they needed to get us a final design and electrical plan for the project.  We were on a very tight timeline and Dwellbeing delivered exactly what we asked for.  Additionally we had multiple contractors turn down our project, Dwellbeing put out the word to some of their trusted contractors and we were lucky enough to get connected with Wilson Custom Homes who did the kitchen remodel.  Without Dwellbeing recommendation I do not think this project would have gotten done anytime soon.

We met with Dwellbeing to discuss our desire to finish our basement. We walked through our list of must-haves, nice-to-haves, and things we didn't want. The Dwellbeing designers listened to what we would like to do, and then took measurements and pictures of our basement. It was essentially a blank canvas for them to work with. We discussed costs, timing and contractors. We were very honest with them as to what we wanted done on a certain timing, and in turn, they were very honest with us about what would meet our needs/expectations. We received different layout options shortly after our initial meeting, and sat with the designers in our home to walk through every detail. In addition to incorporating all of the items we wanted, they brought to the table different designs that would ultimately lead to a gorgeous, modern basement. They were extremely professional, honest and very easy to work with. After locking on the design, we looked to Dwellbeing to help us with the contractors. There are a few contractors that they work with on a regular basis - contractors that they know and trust. And, at this point in the project, we had 100% confidence that they line us up with the best contractor to meet our budget and our desired timing.
In addition, I worked with the designers once building started to help with most of the material selections (flooring, plumbing, lighting, etc). They went with me to each of the stores to find materials that not only fit our style, but fit our budget. They were honest and extremely helpful. We definitely had a vision for what we wanted the finished basement to look like, but they were instrumental in pulling of our ideas together. This was for an additional fee to our contract, but worth every dollar spent.
Throughout the entire project, there was always an open line of communication and they were readily available to answer any questions we had. At times they worked as the go-between any time we needed them to work with the contractors. Their turnaround time on any design changes was quick and their work is impeccable. They are extremely talented and meticulous in the details. Not only would I recommend them to family and friends, I would use them again in a heartbeat for another project.

Brent and Sara at Dwellbeing were a pleasure to work with. They did plans for a large remodel of our 1800 sq ft home in Lewis Center, Ohio. They provided us with multiple "options" for design while considering all of our needs and wants. They did an excellent job showing us what was possible with our home to make it function in the way that we wanted.
We did encounter a few speed bumps along the way since we live approx. 2 hrs. away from their home base. They were unfamiliar with the builders in our area, but they were extremely helpful in helping us choose a builder in our area from the options we found on Angie's list. We also had them do a "redesign" of the remodel work due to our choice to scale back the project after our initial meetings with builders. They were very patient with us and did the redesign without question.
Even now, as we begin the work on our home, Brent and Sara are still assisting us with any questions or changes that we have asked. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a remodel of their home.

Sara and Brent are fantastic at what they do. We needed professional help planning a kitchen and bathroom remodel in a 100 year old house. From the start they were eager to work with us, very professional and possessed excellent communication skills. They came out to the house and walked through everything with us in fine detail. Then they came back with a ton of ideas that we would never have considered. After weighing the benefits of each we settled on a final plan and started the construction phase with our contractor. Throughout the entire process they were more than willing to provide adjustments as the project continued. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for good Architects. Also, their services were more than affordable since they work on a flat rate basis and not on a percentage from the total cost of the project.

We could not have been happier with our experience with Brent and Sara. We had never worked with architects before and didn't really know what to expect. They patiently listened to all of our needs and reassured us they could assist us through the whole process. Our ideas were initially ALL over the place and they went over the pros and cons of each idea until we were comfortable, including providing plans of each to compare visually. They were flexible and set up meetings within our very tight schedule. They recommended little extras we never would have considered on our own (blocking in supports for future grab bars and wide doors for future wheelchair accessibility, etc, which could prove to be priceless in a mother in law suite in the future). They worked within our budget and provided insight on where it was important to spend the extra and where it was okay to make cuts. They responded quickly to any communication. We would not hesitate to recommend Brent and Sara and hope to use their services again in the future.

We were very happy with her services. She was very easy to work with and she made us feel comfortable during the process. We're so excited to have the new kitchen!
