4 hours later they called and said it was ready to go. The manager and his tech both said it was a bushing scraping but was safe to drive. 20 miles later the tire fell off as i was driving down the highway. It turns out the lugnuts just needed to be checked and they hadn't even done that. $2,000 damage to my car. i went back and they refused to take any responsibility claiming 'we never touched the tire so it wasn't our fault." I pointed out that was the problem, if they had simply done the most basic check i wouldn't have had the problem. Only a threatened lawsuit got them to reimburse me anything and that was less than 1/2 the cost. It took over 3 months of arguing

I usually go to the Tire Discounters in FT Wright and have been very happy with them. I ended up using this location for logistical reasons and was quite satisfied.

Bill is the manager and Jim is an assistant, but everyone there is very happy and professional. It's a great atmosphere! They're really excellent. They really go above and beyond and have always been really nice and pleasant. I'm a woman that used to work in maintenance and electronics in the military. I've dealt with a lot of places that treat me like a dumb lady, doing a lot of unnecessary work - and I've always gotten my money back in those situations. I've never had to worry about that with these people.

Four new tires were installed. During installation, each tire was oriented so the date code was hidden towards the inside of the wheelwell. Therefore the tires could not be inspected before paying for the work. The car had to be jacked up at home to verify that they installed the correct tires, and that they were not more than six months old.

The receipt contained ficticious DOT numbers and date codes that were different from the tires purchased. Pete, the manager, said it was impossible to create a receipt with accurate numbers. This was a problem because the DOT numbers are used to register the tires with Michelin. A week later, the store was phoned, and assistant manager Chuck said he could correctly enter the proper information and produce an accurate receipt. He had no explanation why all other employees were not trained to do this. A second trip had to be made to the store to pick up the correct receipt.

The printed Michelin rebate offer was not given; it had to be requested.
