Showed up on time preformed annual inspection and cleaning of both the heating system and the A/C system. These services are done to the manufacturers specifications by cleaning the furnace and A/C unit and ensured that the freon was that the right amount and that both systems are operating at the correct temperatures. When the service technician was done he left you informed on how the units preformed and left the area cleaner than when the showed up. Very professional and knowledgeable of the systems. We were very pleased with their service and would recommend Steve’s Heating & Cooling to anyone that wants the job done right. When we purchased are used home that was 13 years old the previous owner used another heating company to service the units and Steve’s showed me that the other company never did the service the blower had never been cleaned. Steve’s my cost a little more but at least you can be confident the they do the work. A+ work done right.

The dual capacitor on my unit went out. They were able to repair it the same day (within 8 hours of calling). The repair person showed up promptly and was professional. The total repair time was around 30 minutes. The price charged was average.

Returned home from work on a cold day to find furnace not kicking on. Did a quick search and found Steve's Heating and Cooling. Made the call to try to get someone to come check my unit and within minutes Matt called back and was on his way. Furnace repair was done quickly! Matt was awesome and professional on every level. Currently not a customer, but will only call them for my HVAC services in the future. Thanks Matt!!!!!

They come out twice a year on an annual scheduled maintenance. I think the price is reasonable. They installed the unit so they know it better than anybody. They do good work. They keep the system that's 10 years old running because they are looking at it twice a year. It usually takes about an hour to complete maintenance. Their clean up is excellent. They call in advance and schedule a time with me. So far it's been the same guy every time. it's not new people every time. I know who he is and what he does. It's real clean, easy process. He's familiar with the system and it works out well. I would recommend them.

During a routine maintenance clean and inspect the tech dropped my furnace igniter that was working prior to their visit. They charged
$193 for a new one that I later found for sale at a number of places for $20-$30! They also recommended replacing a capacitor for $100+. I bought one for $8. They also left an open hole that they drilled into my vent that I had to tape after they left. The labor for replacement was not an issue since I had paid for a service contract and the components had already been removed.
While doing the work the tech commented "I usually do not put these back on" talking about the strain relief for the wiring to the control box. I told him that he would need to reinstall it here.
While I had to momentarily leave him alone he left a stain on my driveway from washing off components.
Simply overpriced, unprofessional work. RUN AWAY!

1) They installed a less efficient heat pump than what was quoted. --- I was told that it was just as good, but I found out later that it costs them about $400 less.
2) They did not install the programmable thermostat that was on the quote, but a non-programmable one. --- I was told that I didn't really want one of those.
3) They did not test the heat pump before they left because they would have had to temporarily change the settings on the thermostat.
4) The heat pump is VERY LOUD. I don't know if it is supposed to be that way because it was never tested before they left.
I do not trust Steve's Heating & Cooling!

They were very good. They were very efficient. They did a good job. They cleaned up after themselves. They answered all my questions. The sales guy who came was good. it’s a nice family owned business. I would use them in the future.

They replaced our heating and cooling system several years ago. They did a great job with that particular job. I have never bothered to compare pricing, but they do a great job. One man came out to do a check-over of the furnace. They have kept us operating well for over 20 years. They respond quickly and have been very professional.

Steve's did the installation on the home I purchased (it was a builder's model) and their card was on the furance and in the original thermostat. The furnace was selected by the builder and is a hybrid (electric and gas) with a unique wiring configuration. When I bought the house in Dec 2008 I called Steve's to see about getting a programmable thermostat. At that time they told me it was not recommended for my furnace, and would be expensive to do. Basically, they talked me out of it because of their reluctance to do the job. I talked to the manufacturer of the furnace (Trane) who said they do indeed sell a programmable thermostat that would work with my furnace, but I did not pursue it. Fast forward to Summer 2009 when the electric company offers free programmable thermostats. I had the electric company electrician come out and to see the configuration and he explained some more to me about the situation I was dealing with. So, back I went to Steve's, and it being 9 months since my last call with them I think they had learned a thing or two about the furnace and thermostat, and they said that they could order the specific thermostat from Trane and come out and install it. They quoted me $381.00 on the phone, and that is exactly what I paid. My appointment was scheduled for the 2nd one of the day, but they could not quote me a specific time. They said maybe 8:30 or 9am, and I think it was closer to 9 when the guy showed up. He had never installed my particular model of thermostat before, but had it on the wall in no time (that was the easy part). It took him a while to get some of the "behind-the-scenes" programming done to get it to start working, but after that he had it all ready for me, then showed me how to program it. He gave me the owner's manual and handed me my old thermostat, which he had placed in the box from the new one. Payment was due at the time of the work, so he brought in a work order for me to sign to confirm that the job was complete. I was able to pay by credit card by writing my credit card info on the work order/receipt as well. Overall, the job took a little more than an hour. The work they did was "A" quality, but their initial reluctance to do the job the year before knocked them down bit.
