Larry Vaught is the designer we used and I trust him because I've used him before. He gave me what I thought was a good and financially reasonable solution to the landscaping problem that I had. The installers were really nice, too.

The trees and bushes were put in over the course of two days. Everything turned out satisfactory. It hasn't been a full year yet so yet to see if everything will come back.

The work performed by the crew was excellent and the members of the crew were very nice and great to work with. Communication with the office with regard as to when the work was to be started was fair. Best way to communicate is by email or actually visiting the office. This company is great about service after the sale and standing behind their work and plant warrantees. Would definitely have them out again as the people actually doing the planting and cutting in the beds are just great!

Fantastic! Crew was responsible, hard working, and very professional. Solved the drainage issue. Looks great. Landscape architect met with me and made multiple suggestions, listened carefully, and developed a plan. Implementation 10 days later. Paperwork clearly indicated billing and what to expect.

They were extremely helpful and friendly. Gave us very good suggestions about what plants to use for our space and answered questions about how best to plant them and care for them. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable at this second-generation family-owned business. Would definitely go back and use them for our primary landscaping needs.

The Maddox Garden Center crew were fabulous. Greg Traylor worked with me to make sure that the timing of the work fit my busy schedule and was prompt about letting me know of changes due to weather. The work started on 7/15/2015 and completed on 7/17/2015. Sabin Brothers and his helper were extremely professional, hard working and took every ounce of care to ensure that the work was satisfactory to my liking. Sabin explained every step of the process and asked the right questions to ensure that I liked the way the construction was being done. During the construction, Sabin was meticulous to ensure that every brick was laid level, often standing back and looking at the retaining wall from different angles. At the end of the project I was left with an absolutely beautiful and functional retaining wall and new shrubs. They were careful to clean up everything in the yard and leave my yard in the same shape that they found it in before starting the project. I have and will continue to recommend Maddox Garden Center to friends for landscaping work due to the professionalism and level of quality workmanship.

From the outset, I met with Drew who listened to my thoughts and converted them into a drawing. After deciding that Maddox could provide the best product for the best price, we proceeded with the build. Aside from some weather problems and structural issues unrelated to Maddox's work, the entire team of builders worked hard with my expectations in their mind.
I appreciated their communicative nature and the guys were well mannered and respectful. At the end of the day, they cleaned up behind them and arrived promptly every morning. They also adapted to my "on the fly" changes and still completed everything in a timely fashion.
Ultimately, we are so pleased with the entire patio, it's just a great outdoor addition to our home. My neighbors commented on how nice the Maddox team worked and are very complimentary of the final product.

I bought a big deal for this service and I think we used it almost immediately. It went really well and we were impressed with the nursery. We probably will go back this year and get what we need for the yard. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. They had a really nice selection and reasonable prices.

I have purchased several perennial & annual plants over the years from Maddox; the plants are beautiful and healthy. Maddox employees are professional and prices are reasonable. I would recommend Maddox to anyone who needs landscaping or is looking to "spruce" up their yard. They are the best nursery in NKY.

Maddox had a nice selection of plants and trees. I was disappointed in the assistance of the employees to help guide us. We are used to the service provided at Natorps when they where in Florence and Maddox was definitely lacking that level of service. All-in-all, it went well and we will be back. We also visited Baeten's nearby and were extremely pleased with their assistance.

Everyone on site was great. Pleasant, professional and well marked (truck and guys all with the Maddox logo). Drew came out and took some pictures, found out what we wanted. With our busy schedule, he maintained contact with us and came up with several great ideas. We tweaked things a bit to make the plan exactly what we wanted. They guys came out early every morning and were great about keeping me informed on what they were going to do that day. Our next door neighbors, driveway is really close to where the work was taking place. They contacted them and asked for permission before taking advantage of using it. After unloading their materials, they moved their equipment off of the neighbors drive so they weren't inconveniencing them all day. Maddox added a retaining wall, leveled some of the ground and landscaped a really nice flower bed. Our property looks so much nicer. They finished hours ago however I have already had compliments on the new look.
I have already spoken to Drew about next years project,t and will be using Maddox again.

I went to Maddox's to purchase a Forsythe bush. Most of the other green houses were operating that early in the Spring. The gentlemen from Maddox showed my several shrubs of varying sizes. We picked out a good size bush and he dug it up. He was nice enough to place the root ball in a plastic bag to protect the carpet in my car. I planted the shrub as recommended and it is growing very nicely.

The installation crew was fine. But the rose bush trees had yellow leaves and many of the leaves were eaten by something. When I hadn't received a bill in about a month's time I called the designer who helped me and left him a message. At the same time I asked him to address the issue with the rose bushes. I received a bill in about a weeks time but I haven't heard back from anyone to address the diseased rose bushes.

"My name is Scott Maddox and I am the majority owner of Maddox Garden Center & Landscaping, Inc. Upon learning of my companies failure to respond to the issue with these roses, I contacted my customer by telephone within 24 hours to personally respond to her concern. (I only learned of her concerns from her posting on Angie's List, a few weeks after her project was completed.) Unfortunately, my representative was not attentive to her request related to the roses and timely billing. He really let her and me down in this matter. I apologized personally to the customer and am sorry for his lack of response to her requests and general mishandling of this project. I agreed to personally inspect the roses in question and treat them appropriately right away as needed to correct the problem. Upon examination of the roses, I learned that the yellowing issue was caused primarily by weather conditions at the time and the holes in the leaves had been eaten by an insect known as a Rose Slug. I treated them as needed and left the remaining pesticide for future use by the customer. Fortunately, neither issue affects long term performance of the roses and they fully recover from these issues. We have learned from this experience. It was a good teachable moment for a great young landscape designer to drive home the importance of following up with the client after the sale and to quickly resolve any outstanding customer concerns. Bottom line, we made this right in the end but am genuinely sorry we inconvenienced our customer and took so long to correct our mistakes. I had driven by this nursery numerous times and always wanted to stop. I got a coupon in the mail for a 20.00 gift card. I stopped and checked out the plant and purchased some hostas and Crepe Myrtle. All employees I dealt with were friendly and professional. I will definitely purchase from here again.
