Cody Development LLC

I have attempted to get a refund from Brian Lightner of Cody Development, LLC for months. I signed a contract for a driveway apron to be poured on October 2, 2016. Brian was supposed to provide the service at the beginning of November. He had many reasons for delays. On January 19, 2017 I requested a refund. He told me he was planning on doing the apron the following week. Weather and other things delayed it. I requested a refund again on February 7, 2017. March 8, 2017 I was promised my refund and an explanation. Finally on April 18, 2017 I got a check from Brian. On April 25, 2017 the check was returned NSF. Again an explanation as to which it was returned. Somebody bounced a check to him and then he bounced checks. Today is June 2, 2017. I've been messaging and texting and emailing Brian. I've heard nothing. This is the most unprofessional treatment of a customer and so extremely frustrating. Now I have to take him to court for an NSF check in the amount of $1,575.

They were paid in full with the promise that they would come back to complete unfinished work. Other portions of the work was done very shoddy. The owner of the company has been completely unresponsive to my phone calls. He also has keys to the condo that he will not return. In addition, he has the only set of keys for the new sliding glass doors. The plumbing and electrical work that he did both failed inspection. He did not repair and replace the windows. The furnace does not work. I now have to hire a plumber, electrician and furnace company. These additional cost are extremely frustrating, especially around the holidays. This was supposed to be a 5 week job, it has ended up being 4 1/2 months and the job is still incomplete. The address listed for his business, is actually his home address.
