A friend recommended we go to Hadleys' for our carpet. We were amazed at the selection of carpet and flooring they offered. The sales staff could not do enough to help- A+ customer service. We expected to wait a few weeks for installation as ours was a special order, but our carpet was installed the next week. We will definitely use their service again and highly recommend them to anyone who needs flooring.

Everything went very smoothly. Measurements were taken when they said they would be. Installation was scheduled, and crew arrived on time and did a great job. Great job!

Mark was very helpful in explaining the different carpet options and helped choose the right carpet for our needs. The installation crew called before arrival, were very courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Carpet looks great, very happy with the whole transaction.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I spent $9129.00 for carpet for my basement. Two obvious seams show. I was told that the seam that is visibly puffed up about 1/2 inch across the room is "normal". I was told that "no seam is guaranteed" AFTER the carpet was installed. I reviewed my contract and that is not written in any fine print. The installer looked at the carpet and told me it was a good job. I told him that was not acceptable. He said he would have his boss come look at the carpet, but that his boss would tell me the same thing. Craig, came to look at the seams and told me it was "normal". He said carpet that has a smaller nap can show seams. I told him the carpet that was down previously had a lower nap and no seams were visible. He said it was dependent on the lighting in the room. There is about 2200 sq ft of carpet in the basement and only two seams were puffed up and visible and he said that was because of the lighting. There is equal lighting throughout the basement and I don't think that is an acceptable explanation. My old carpet had the same lighting and no visible seams showed. Some of my responses were not well received by Craig and I told him I could tell that I had made him angry, which he denied. I was angry and still am angry with the services provided by Hadley's. Hadley's offered to have an independent person that THEY hire to come and evaluate my carpet and if they didn't think it was a problem I had to pay the $200 fee. I asked if I could have another carpet company or installer come and look at the carpet and he said that was not possible because it had to be an independant appraiser. I would never recommend them. I had a hard time with the grading scale because it was an excellent price on the carpet and the carpet quality is excellent, however, the installation of the product was terrible. They are less expensive than the other carpet companies but remember, you get what you pay for. I've also reported them to the BBB, however, they are not a member. Maybe there is a reason for that!
Response from HADLEY'S WAREHOUSE CARPET SALES
"We are leaving the exact rebuttal to the negative review you left on our Facebook page: "In regards to your Facebook review, and I’m sure Angie’s List, the BBB, and other sources you deem fit, I would like to address the issue of your carpet seam. For starters, it is not true that “no seam is guaranteed.” It is true, however, that there is no such thing as an invisible seam, or that guarantees a seam will be invisible in a textile product (e.g. clothing, carpet, etc.). The flooring industry, as a whole, does not guarantee an invisible seam. As for the seams in your basement, they were not noticeable when your lights were on, which I noticed when I came to inspect your carpet this afternoon. I do want to mention, I contacted you, and inspected your flooring within a timely manner. One seam becomes slightly noticeable when you turn OFF your lights. The window on the opposite side of the basement casts a natural light across the seam that is horizontal to the light source. The lighting of a room has a direct effect on the way a carpet will look. The carpet in your basement was installed properly and looks beautiful. If you would like to hire a CERTIFIED FLOORING INSPECTOR to ease your mind of bias of who pays, you are more than welcome to. It is hard to fix or correct something that isn’t broken. ---Craig Hadley" As for your negative remark about the BBB, we refuse to join a company that you have to pay for in order to get "A's". There have been many reports and complaints against the BBB in regards to their so called "grading" practices. As a matter of fact, John Mattarese, from WCPO did a report on it. We stand by our product, installation, and company. If you have an issue, as mentioned, contact an INDEPENDENT CERTIFIED FLOORING INSPECTOR. They are "independent and certified" for a reason. They DO NOT work for us, the installers, or the manufacturers."

Mark did a great job from working with us on our budget, and providing the best product for the price. He also was able to reduce some costs by us ripping out the carpet our selves. Installers showed up in-between there window time and were very caring about the house and the detail of there work. Only thing I didn't like, is that they couldn't provide a time that the carpet installers would be at our house. Window time was 9:30-11:30. Installers did call 15 minutes before arrival as I requested.

A VERY PLEASURABLE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY. WE HAD A BERBER INSTALLED, AND I WAS VERY CONCERNED ABOUT PLACEMENT AND VISIBILITY OF SEAMS. BOTH THE PLANNING/LAYOUT AND THE INSTALLATION QUALITY WERE TOP-NOTCH.

THEY WORKED REALLY HARD, WERE PROMPT AND WERE ABLE TO FINISH IN A MONTH. THEY WERE A LOT CHEAPER THAN HOME DEPOT. WE WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.
