Derreck has been re-glazing the tubs at my apartment complex for over 8 years. Not only does the initial finish look great, but I also know that it stands the test of time. He is easy to get scheduled to help me get the apartments rented on time. Very much appreciate him because otherwise, I would be looking at replacing tubs which is a huge job.

The whole process was not bad and the finish looked great, however, the finish peeled almost immediately after it was done. They did not honor the warranty either! A total waste of money.

Exemplary in every way! Rachael in the office did a great job in explaining the entire process. She also helped me move up the job almost 30 days so my tenant could move in early. Derrick presented the contract and how the warranty worked. He completed the job flawlessly. Everything was taped off and covered to protect the flooring and other items. He explained not to touch anything for 48 hours. I waited 72. My tub is beautiful again! I am going to post the before and after pictures on my Facebook feed!

Per the contract, they guarantee it for 7 years. I wasn't the original owner of the house who had the work done, but the contract states that the warranty could be transferred within 6 months of ownership which was done. The tub was bubbling and had paint peeling off in large pieces. When I called them, the person on the phone was very rude. She was so rude that I asked to speak with the owner. She then said that she was the owner. Her name was Rachel. She asked if we could send pictures of the work so my daughter did so. She was very rude to my daughter as well. You could tell that she was going to do absolutely nothing. There was no offer to have it redone or anything else at all. I know bad work when I see it, and this is really bad work. It states in the contract that all the work is done with the surface as is. Re glazing will not work unless the tub is properly prepped, and this company does not do that, unless indicated otherwise. The contract also states that the customer must do the re-caulking, that the company does not do that. The warranty is based on how well the caulking hold. I called another company on Angie's List and they quoted it at $475 plus $125 if the tub had been glazed before. CBR charged $292. I think this low price is what lures people in.

"Our comprehensive contract states that should a problem occur, the customer must notify us in a timely manner. The customer stated the former owner did not supply her with a copy of the contract and our contact information and that is the reason she was not able to contact us immediately and the damage was allowed to progress to the point that it had. It was explained to the customer that we cannot be responsible for the failure of the previous owner to provide our contact information in order to contact us as the contract states and obtain service when the problem first occurs, and that the failure of the former owner to provide her with our contact information did not negate the terms of the contract. We spoke to the customer and her daughter who were extremely irate and did not allow us speaking time to offer any sort of repair, and unfortunately much of phone conversation was spent trying to calm the customer down and reassure them we would take a look at her pictures when we received them and make an assessment of the damage. Upon receipt of the customer's pictures, the customer was contacted via email the same day as her call and information was given as to the cost to strip and reglaze the bathtub, which is needed at this point. Our prepping process is the most comprehensive in the industry which is one of the things that allows us to provide a seven year guarantee on our work. The customer insists someone who does handyman work for the family stated the bathtub was not prepped properly prior to reglazing. This unfortunate inaccurate and baseless statement by the handyman is what the customer is basing the current damage issue on rather then the customer's own failure to contact us per the contract terms. The original pricing for this bathtub was $325.00 and the former customer received a 10% discount for a total of $292.50. The cost quoted to the current customer was $400.00 which includes a charge of $85.00 for the removal of the existing damaged coating and a charge of $315.00 for the reglazing. Customer is welcome to contact us for the needed service."

The initial re-glazing was fine. There were some nicks in the original finish that were patched and looked good. It was difficult to see them after the glazing unless you knew where to look. However, a week ago, the bottom of the tub started to peel despite using the approved cleaners and taking good care of the surface in general. Because of the size of the peeling, the entire tub needs to be re-glazed according to them. They offered to do this a full cost to me again, but when I asked about a warranty, they offered to split the cost to re-shoot the tub. I don't feel that I have done anything to cause the peeling and now I need to spend another $150 on this old tub. Since apparently there is no way to triage why this occurred, I am left to wonder if I pay the $150 to do it again, if it will do the same thing again. So, all the risk is on me and I am not satisfied with this as an outcome.

From contacting the company to the last details this company was very professional and answered every single one of my emails. Both Rachel and Derreck were great to work with and did a very thorugh job. Derreck was prompt, polite, and professional. He did a great job of cleanup and prep work and didn't need to come back to redo anything. Rachel was also very prompt in her scheduling and estimating. I would recommend their company if you need anything ceramic refinished.

Derreck did a nice job on the tub. He was thorough in his explanation of what was possible, what he might find in stripping it etc. He called me in a number of times to see how it was going. You do have to be willing to 1) re-caulk the tub yourself after 48 hrs, and 2) re-install the stopper, overflow cover and linkage assembly, at least on mine. (This threw me, as I hadn't known this part. It went all right after I found a plumbing store to replace one part of the assembly and show me how it went together.) The only real negative was a scratch on the hardwood floor outside the bathroom from his tool kit. He said he would repair it but after consulting with a hardwood floor professional I decided to let it go. It is thin and not that obvious. Any fix would make it worse. I appreciated Derrick's concern and his willingness to make this right. There just wasn't anything to do that made sense.

I am very pleased with the way the tub turned out. This company got back to me very quickly, and I was able to get an appointment within a few days of calling. The man who re-glazed my bathtub came on time and was very friendly, and gave me some good tips on how to care for the tub. I would recommend this company.

THE COST INCLUDED REMOVING THE OLD, FLAKING GLAZE AND REGLAZING THE TUB IN WHITE. DERRECK CAME TO DO THE WORK WHILE WE WERE ON VACATION. HE DID A GREAT JOB AND PAPERED OFF AROUND THE TUB SO THAT NOTHING GOT GLAZED THAT SHOULDN'T BE. HE EXPLAINED THE WARRANTY ON THE WORK AND GAVE US DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CLEAN AND CARE FOR A REGLAZED TUB. THE RESULT IS BEAUTIFUL. 3 MONTHS AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE, WE DID GET SOME BUBBLING ON A CORNER OF THE TUB LEDGE. WE CALLED DERRECK. HE CAME OUT ABOUT 2 WEEKS LATER. HE LOOKED AT THE BUBBLING AND AGREED WE HAD DONE NOTHING TO CAUSE IT. HE COMPLETED THE REPAIR ON THE SPOT AT NO CHARGE. WE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH BOTH HIS WORK AND HIS WILLINGNESS TO HONOR THE WARRANTY. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. JUST BE PREPARED TO MAKE A COUPLE OF PHONE CALLS BEFORE HE GETS BACK TO YOU. DERRECK IS THE COMPANY, SO USUALLY HIS WIFE HAS TO PICK UP MESSAGES AND CALL PEOPLE BACK.

WHEN CALLING TO SCHEDULE, THE WOMAN ON THE PHONE WAS REALLY NICE! SHE QUOTED IT, THE JOB SIGHT UNSEEN, AND EXPLAINED IT DEPENDED UPON THE CONDITION OF THE TUB. SHE WAS HELPFUL AND VERY ENTHUSIASTIC. SHE CALLED THE NIGHT BEFORE TO CONFIRM APPOINTMENT. THE CONTRACTOR WAS RUNNING A LITTLE LATE THE MORNING OF, BUT CALLED. HE EXPLAINED THE PROCESS AND INVOLVED US IN THE RESTORATION. HE EXPLAINED HOW TO PROVIDE CARE AFTER THE RESTORATION, AND WAS VERY DETAILED. THE WORK COST MORE THAN I WAS ANTICIPATING, BUT THIS WAS BECAUSE THE JOB WAS TOUGHER THAN EXPECTED, BECAUSE OF THE EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE TUB BY THE PREVIOUS OWNERS.
