What we did not like about this company is that they DO NOT explain that they cannot get the tile completely cleaned. There were spots on the floor that would not come up according to the man when he finished the job. I beg to differ. After they left i applied Zep cleaner to the floor and was able to remove all the spots. My issue is this. I used this company to remove dry wall dust which they did but the job was for steam cleaning the floor. I used this service to clean the floor and save time. I invested another 30 minutes on my hands and knees scrubbing the floor, so I really didn't save any time. And I spent money cleaning a floor that I had to go behind them and clean myself.
So did they remove dust? Yes. Did they clean the floor? No, a little.more effort would have and did clean the floor.
So, you decide. If you want and can afford to spend the money on a superficial clean and you have time to go back after they finish and clean it yourself, then, by all means, use this vendor. I will not be using them again.
The service tech was very accomodating to several changes in schedule, and agreed to do the work without my being there to avoid my driving over an hour each way from our old home. Once he was in the house, he called to tell me that the size of our finished basement was too large to count as one room, and that he needed to raise the price. (I found it hard to believe that the small size of 2 bedrooms, each 10 x 11, didn't even out the size of the basement, but as they were already in the house and ready to work, I didn't have a lot of room to argue.) They cleaned the carpets in about 2 hours, and called me to give me the do's and don'ts about the carpets until they were dry. They warned me that several stains may come back if they were into the pad (and they have).
My biggest disappointment was how long it took for the carpets to dry in the basement. I left the air conditioning fan running as directed, and set to the proper temperature, but it still took 3 days for the carpets downstairs to be completely dry. Unfortunately, the movers delivered all our belongings 2 days after the service! So we had to leave all the boxes in other rooms while the carpets dried, and then move them again.
Overall, the carpets looked nice. Don't know that I would pay for the protection again, though.
