Andrus Excavating & Septic Systems

We called late in the day with a septic system that was backing up. Andrus was so kind to come out after hours and take care of our problem. They arrived quickly and worked efficiently. The gentlemen were friendly and professional. I would definitely use Andrus again!

They came, and I had some trouble after they left, so I couldn't recommend them at all. I don't know if they did a bad job, it is just that my septic tank overflowed after they left. I haven't gotten anybody about that because I just don't feel like I can trust anybody. They pumped it out but I think they should have noticed that there was something wrong there. The pipe that goes out from the septic tank must have been broken off or something. I haven't called them because I just don't want to deal with them anymore. I know that they did pump it out, but I don't know if they should have caused that or not.

I called Andrus, it was a late Friday afternoon and they were here within the hour. The gentleman on truck was very thorough and made sure he cleaned everything from the tank completely. He explained how the tank worked and showed me the tank was in fact clean. He did rinse it with water as well to clean it out. He also told me I needed to install a and quot;riser w/lidand quot; as I had trouble locating my septic lid, we had to dig a lot to locate it. He advised me where I could purchase it and install it myself to save money or he would be happy to install it. I chose to do the install, it was very easy. Very good company to use!

We were very pleased. Service was very prompt (next day). The service technician (Rusty) was very polite and friendly, but most of all, he took the time to carefully explain every step of the process and to answer all of our questions. He inspected everything and gave lots of good advice on the proper care and maintenance of a septic system. He seemed to be very experienced and knowledgable.
He did mention that he could install a riser to provide easier access in the future, but he did not pressure us at all. We decided to have one installed and he did an excellent job. He made sure it was exactly where we wanted it and the right height to match the top of the patio to prevent tripping over it. He asked where to put the extra dirt which was removed from the hole and carefully cleaned up after himself.

Owner and his crew, arrived on time, worked efficiently and did a very good job. Was very receptive to my questions and requests. Job was completed with less gravel than estimated. Cost was $300 less than estimate.

Great expereince from start to finish. We first called to see if tank should be pumped as they did it last time and we were having issues with toilet flushing properly and we didn't know if it was time to do it again. They came over same day to check tank and see if it was full. Once they determined that was the issue, they also suggested we have a riser installed for easier access to the septic tank lid. We agreed to have the riser put in as well, they came the following day and pumped the tank and installed riser.
