Jeff was the only contractor in the area who even bothered to come out and give us an estimate. Others came to look at the two jobs but apparently we weren't enough of a job for them. Jeff said he'd call when he could fit us in (not an emergency), and about 2 weeks after we had talked with him, he did. He met us in Danville and we took him to the house to see what needed to be done. He was very professional, yet friendly, neighborly almost.
After assessing our needs on a Friday, he gave us an estimate (had not gotten that far with a contractor before). Being satisfied with the estimate and his professionalism, we made arrangements for him to come today.
He worked for 7 hours, maybe a bit more, brought all the materials with him, but did have to leave to get more roof caulk. He had explained in extensive detail what he would do, and that's exactly what he did.
He apparently has enough work so he doesn't need to advertise, word of mouth being plenty. He is one of the best, friendliest, and competent people we've ever hired. He even gave us the name of a fellow in town who does and quot;to die forand quot; pulled pork!
I have no idea if his price was reasonable or not, not having had anyone else even give us an estimate. But frankly, I was expecting it to cost much more than it did. Some people aren't happy unless they can get a competent professional contractor for $15 an hour. Those days are long gone. So I'm satisfied with what he charged -- and now we don't worry any more about the roof or the rotting trim around the front door.

I liked that he works very neatly. He cleans up after himself. He shows up on time, and does exactly what he said he would do. I did not have a single complaint about his work. The overall experience was excellent. His price was fair. He was responsive and professional. I would absolutely use Jeff Cooper in the future.

He goes to our church. I don't remember how much he charged me. He is very professional and well qualified. The quality is very good.
