+ -1 moreI called because when I shut door it would go back up. Also to get my keypad usable again. The door has gone back up twice since then! I provided the battery for keypad(9 volt) and the light bulb for opener! I was charged $95.00 for......what?

+ -1 moreNo nonsense professional service, both from the office and the technician. No upsell, simply evaluated our 14 year old operator and explained the options. I made the decision to have them install a new system rather than spend money to repair the existing system. I had the complete system, including two remotes, keypad, sensors, outside keypad all professionally installed for $375.00. Cleaned up afterwards and took old stuff with him.
Description of Work: 14 year old garage door opener was not working properly. Springs were fine, something happening intermittingly with the motor.

I first called one of the big brands that say they are available all hours... but was frustrated when they told me I had to wait four days to get scheduled, plus got quoted an even higher price than B&J. Called another company too but they never returned my call. Glad I found B&J, as they not only answered my call but sent a technician out to help me right away and had the most reasonable prices. The technician was an expert, timely, efficient, friendly and through -- exactly what I needed.

Description of Work: the overhead door motor failed suddenly and raising this manually was a little difficult. I had heard of this company and gave them a call. The installation was scheduled for the next day. The tech arrived on the scheduled time, installed the new motor. Once the primary work was finished he went over the rails, greased the rollers and made some adjustments to one of the rails that apparently was twisted so there was some binding in the travel of the door. I ask the cost of what I thought was extra work -- " No, that's just part of our service." i would recommend this company for either new installations or routine maintenance.

We settled on a final solution and waited for the doors to ship. Things arrived early, so he called and set up a time for installation. Both doors were installed before the end of the day.
Description of Work: Gerry replaced the old wooden doors with new steel doors & replaced the motors.

+ -1 moreBand J were extremely fast and courteous. They worked in an effort to save us money, but yet they returned the greatest value.
Description of Work: The date given is not exact. After I had backed my car into the overhead door, I called around to find a repairman. No one but B&J were able to respond quickly. Jerry repaired it with the parts I had on hand and cobbled the rest together. I recently did it again & now I'm calling on Jerry to replace both garage doors, since they no long make our old doors. However, I had to check with "Angie" before going through with it all.

Description of Work: The spring on our garage door broke. I was able to get in touch with B&J prior to 8:00 am, and they were extremely responsive. Someone was at my home to do the repair by 8:30 - 8:45 that same morning and was finished by 9:30 am. Great service, and I thought the price was very reasonable given the costs I had seen on some other reviews.

+ 0 moreWe had problems with our garage door when the wire and spring broke. My husband picked this company because they were close to our house in Oldham cty. He asked about buying the cable and doing it himself- he advised that you have to be very careful because of the pressure on the springs. He came out the next morning-1st stop and fixed the door. He explained what needed to be done and was very reasonable on his prices.
Description of Work: We called this company out of the phone book. He came first thing the next morning and replaced both springs. He was very knowledgeable, professional and did a great job. We would definetly recommended this company. Carla

Very helpful in selecting the suitable replacement. Saved additional cost by utilizing existing garage door openers. They organized ordering replacement door and scheduled installation within a few days. Everything was on time, very professional, superb individuals to deal with. Clean-up was perfect and the entire experience was outstanding. Highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Garage door replacement after car crushed it. Replacement with a new door was done. Because there are 2 garage doors we also replaced the 2nd at this time. Removal of old damaged door and hardware.

+ -1 moreRepairs were done well and Jerry was very professional. He arrived when he said he would, and fixed what we paid him to fix. The only negative was that he didn't have the pulley part in stock, and it took a week for the parts to be ordered before he could begin repairs.
Description of Work: Repaired garage door opener after it was damaged in a lighting strike/surge. It needed a new circuit board and also a mechanical pulley was damaged.
