"This was a relatively difficult removal and install from several standpoints. When removing a tile roof it has to happen one tile at a time and handed over the roof from one team member to the next until it can be thrown directly into the dumpster. Special precautions have to be taken to protect not only the customers house but the surrounding houses and driveways. Because of the thickness difference from tile to asphalt shingles almost all the flashings had to be modified and or replaced. There were several other considerations and complications that had to be kept in mind, thus a much longer installation than normal. I would like to thank this customer for their patience and for taking the time to write a lengthy and in depth review. While I appreciate any and all reviews, not all of them go into this much detail. Hopefully this gives future customers a little more insight into the possible details involved in replacing some specialized roofs."

"Periodically Angie's List allows a review as absurd as this one. I met with this gentleman 6-9 months ago about a roof. The house was in such bad shape that it needed a lot of structural work prior to putting on a roof. I told the home owner we don't do that type of work, at which time he told me I was the fifth roofer to turn him down. If you look you will see that this complaint is under the category of decks and porches, something I don't even offer. I pointed this out to Angie's List and they refused to do anything about it. If I had to grade Angie's List they'd have seven F's, the same number I have because everyone of them is as absurd as this review. In most cases I never even had the pleasure of meeting these customers, let alone doing work for them. Please make sure that you read reviews carefully and don't just judge them by the grade because you never know what Angie's List will allow."

"This porch was 2/3 rds of an octagon, so it had multiple miters. When you have miters it is important to make sure that your provider is doing single custom miters and not using straps or pre-manufactured corners. It will mean half the seams and thus half the chances of leaks in the long run, not to mention how much cleaner and nicer it looks. Thank you for the kind review."

"Mr [Member Name Removed] was told 2-3 weeks weather permitting for the roof install, as luck would have it, if it wasn't raining it was predicted to rain. The contract was signed on 6/17/20 and the roof was installed on 7/17/20, exactly 4 weeks after contract. I did neglect to preorder his gutters until 2 weeks after the initial contract for which I'll take the blame. Unfortunately my crew was 6 weeks out and then further delayed by rain. Gutter install occurred 8/31/20, however Mr [Member Name Removed] was never without working gutters. The existing gutters were high backs and extended up behind the aluminum fascia, which meant that some of it got bent during the removal of the gutters. In an attempt to not have to replace all of the fascia, part of one of the seams didn't get caulked, causing a leak, for which we take blame. The bent fascia was replaced on 9/8/20. While we had a few issues on this job for which I apologize, it is construction, and very hard to predict weather and the unforeseen. I would like to think that overall reputation speaks for itself."

"In this case the customer had recently had a new roof installed by another company, which had been done correctly for the most part, however the finishing detail were lacking. There was a lot debris in the gutters including shingles and nails and more importantly they had incorrectly reinstalled a gutter and downspout creating what appeared to be a leak. The long and short of it is that I encourage everyone to walk around your house, when it's raining, anytime you have something major done to your gutters or roof. Just make sure everything is doing what it is supposed to be doing."
