S & E Septic Service

On April 22, 2020, Mr. Fryman(owner of company) of S&E Construction/Septic Service installed 2 chambers 100 foot long on a slight slope. On completion late that day he stated "I WILL BE BACK IN 4 OR 5 WEEKS TO FINISH GRADE WORK ON THE CHAMBERS". With that being said I paid him in full which was a very big mistake. After 10 weeks I started calling him. The first 3 call he said "I will be there late of the next week". The next 4 calls his wife, Rita, (half owner) said "he is not home from work yet and I will have him call you when he get home". The last call was at 10:30 at night. On July 18, 2020 I started on the grade work on the 2 chambers. The upper chamber had 12 inches of dirt that that is the correct amount. The lower chamber needed anywhere from 8 to 12 inches of fill. I placed 7 to 8 ton of dirt on the lower chamber and had it completed on July 24, 2020. I used a wheelbarrow, rake, hoe and a shovel. The dirt pile is over a 100 feet from the chambers and going down hill. The average temperature was around 95 degrees and I am 79 years old. The state inspector, Justin Pittman, came on August 14, 2020. Yes, I know I made mistake in paying him in full but after he said "I WILL BE BE BACK IN 4 OR 5 WEEKS" I took him at his word. This is why I give Mr. Fryman and S&E Construction/Septic Service a F rating and a 1 star rating(there is no 0 rating. He took the money and never returned. As of November 11, 2020 I have grass on the chambers. Every tine I uploaded a picture I would all that i wrote and would have to start over. Bill McKee

Everything went great!! They immediately returned calls and worked performed was excellent!! Very courteous and friendly!! Made sure to clean up and out yard back to great shape before leaving!! Would recommend!!

I always try to say something nice about someone before saying something negative but as I am biting my tongue to not completely let this man know exactly what I think of him. So my 1 nice comment and one is all I could come up with is that I called his number at 9 p.m. and he returned my call very quickly. He walked me through checking my septic tank and told me it sounded fine and it didn't seem to need pumping out. He said it sounded like the drains in my house needed vacuuming. He told me it wouldn't take but a few minutes and it was exactly what I needed to get my plumbing flowing again. So the next day rolls around and the first sign of trouble rolls in as well. He knew I had sewage flowing into my bathtub and said he would be at my house as early as possible. I guess early to him is sometime around noonish. I then had to run all over my house clogging drains while he stood idle waiting on me to work faster. I called him because of the review he was given here on Angie's List which stated that septic services in the past had been close 200$ and that he was cheaper and that drain vacuuming was included. As he was flipping a switch on and off on his truck with no results I get a call back from the company I wish I had spoken with first. Grant County Septic Services. I explained to the gentleman on the other end of the line what my problem was and what S&E was there doing as we were speaking he kindly lets me know what they are doing is not going to help and it is a waste of my time and that his or any other septic services couldn't help I needed a plumber. He gave me the number to a plumber he said does great work at a fair price. He then said if I needed him to come and pump my system it would be 250$ Oh how I wish he had called first before S&E. Oh how hindsight is 200$ / 200$ When he decided he was tired of flipping the switch and ready to bully a small female Mr. Fryman came to the door and informed me that obviously his method was useless and he wanted his 300$ and that I should just go ahead and let him pump a little bit of my septic system since I was going to be paying for it if he did it or not. I could not believe my ears. I had not agreed to anything and had signed nothing. He was in my face "he has easily 200 lbs. on me" and when I answered do you take credit because I never thought in a million years for him to roll out of bed for less than 300$ was an insult to this man. I had no idea that the 200$ I had pulled from the ATM was going to get me a scoff and slammed doors. His attitude took such a turn that I'm very aware this is his routine, his swindle, his way of intimidating someone. At that point, you will either give me the money stare down or I'm not leaving stance begins. Needless to say, I am out 300$ and I now have the plumber here giving me a free estimate. I am very disappointed in Angie's List for not letting me see his full reviews because had I been shown the full review on my google search instead of the one good review I would never have called this bully and given him my name and address. Sidenote: After looking into him and his "company and seeing that he makes 212,000$ annually compared to my 25,000.00$ annually I'm not sure how this man can sleep at night.

They really appreciated that they came out the same day I called. They pumped my tank out and didn't leave a mess.
