+ 2 moreI have never had an experience like this in my life--I paid for work never completed. I paid a second contractor, and when he saw the work done for 300 dollars he stated "what a shame-there's no way this work touches even 150 dollars" In addition, the 200.00 sink that he installed moved at the base. The second repairman that I contacted showed me (under the sink) where David Earl had broke the attachments that stabelized the sink. Either through overtightning, or simply not knowing how to install. I had to buy the sink twice and have it reinstalled.
Description of Work: This person represented himself as a craftshan that could do home repairs. He gave us a price of 20.00 per hour. In addition, I paid him to pick up parts. The work was simple work. Install a towel rack, put in faucet, and cut a piece of flash molding 4"x3' and paint it. My wife and myself were estimating 100-120 dollars. On a Saturday, Before the job was even finished Mr Johnson demanded a 300.00 payment. I was shocked, because my wife said he spent hours out by his work van "standing around and using the phone". Because I have 2 young children, and I wanted no issues, I paid him under the agreement he would finish the work for 300.00. He not only never showed back up, he kept the money for parts he has supposed to pick up to install. When I called him to finish the work-per agreement-he stated "I know how this game is played", and hung up on me. This person represents himself as a peaceful, honest, hard-working man. Beware------it is a bait and switch. The hours billed did not come close to matching the hours reportedly worked. . I could kick myself for allowing him into my house.
