The experience with Mike White wasn't good. None of the work was done and all of my material was stolen. I don't like anything about them. My house didn't get done and it was ripped off, it is in a worse shape then when I hired them and I am stuck trying to pick up the pieces. They stole every copper pipe out of my house, they burst down walls in my kitchen and my bathroom, tore up all my wiring, I had to get an electrician in. They cut my gas pipe so I had to go through the whole winter without heat.

"Mrs. [member name removed] must have Home Run Improvement mistaken for another company. We have never performed any work for her and Angie's List is investigating this situation."

Mike White Contracting damaged my roof. We are really upset and angry with him. I need a new roof because of what he did. He never finished the job. The contract said 8 days. On the 43rd day my husband fired him. We paid upfront half of the quote, $2000. We contracted him to do work on the house. When they built the  house the gutter was put down in to the ground underneath the house instead of flowing outside so there was a lot of damage done to the basement. So we needed a new roof in the basement and needed to take up the boards under the deck and clean up the mess underneath. There were holes in there from where the water had moved everything. So they filled them all back in and got it fixed. But they also were supposed to clean out the gutters so that they would flow properly. So they decided to go in and pressure wash the roof. We didn't tell them to do that. We just said clean out the gutters and put the guards back on and make sure there's no obstruction so that the water flows right. Instead they went up on the roof and pressure washed it. They pulled up tiles, put holes in it, damaged just about every room in the house from that, and after about the 42nd day he said the job was done and we went down their and saw his office manager. They said it was done and we went down in the basement and had a look and it was not done. It was a horrible horrible mess and we had to pay someone else to come in and finish it. So we told them, you're not getting paid, you were supposed to fix all of this. He said Oh, I'll get on it right away. When he left, he left the garage door wide open so the house was compromised. The next day my husband fired him. That was the 43rd day. They never came when they said they were going to come. If they did they showed up about 3 o'clock in the afternoon and left maybe an hour later, two hours later. My daughter-in-law was in the house with a brand new baby and it was all such a mess. They never came when they said, and then they would just show up without calling, because we wanted to make sure there was somebody at the house whenever they showed up. We finally called after two or three weeks and said we're suing you. Oh, gee, the next thing you know they're down there doing some work. Amazing. Then when they called and said it's finished we went down their and said, Oh no it isn't, you've left crap all over the place,  you didn't clean this up, you didn't take this off,  you didn't take that off, you didn't do this, you didn't do that. Then we found out the damage he had done to the roof which we hadn't asked him to do. He was just to clean out the gutters, that was all we asked him to do. We even rang his mother and she wasn't surprised. He flunked. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody. Don't ring him, don't use him.

I spoke with Mike about getting an estimate on Friday morning. By Friday afternoon I had an estimate and by Saturday night I had a newly installed dishwasher, garbage disposal, sink, cabinets, and counter. I am impressed by how quickly we were able to get all of this work completed. It looks amazing and everything works perfectly as of today.  The estimate was spot on to what I was charged. He did all of this on a holiday weekend! I would most certainly recommend Mike to a friend and will be retaining him for future services.

My new floors look awesome and I love my house now. I can't wait to go home everyday and hang out in my house. It only took a few days to get the whole first floor done and he was able to work around my furniture. His estimates are extremely fair and he's an honest handyman.

Mike and his assistants totally transformed a very run-down third floor space into a beautiful office and guest room. Work was able to begin fairly quickly after contacting him and I was impressed with his knowledge of old homes and their particular challenges. He offered us a competitive price and gave us options along the way to do more or less depending on our preferences for the scope of the project. The guys he uses for drywall and plaster work did a phenomenal job and made our 100 year old wavy walls look brand new. Mike also creatively incorporated a vintage newel post, new balusters and a security gate for the top of the 3rd floor staircase. He suggested to us adding hardwired fire alarms and I am very happy to have them installed in the house (he not only put them on the third floor but also on the bedroom level and basement). My only issue with their work was regarding the painting of the walls and new wood surfaces. The level of care and detail for painting could have been better. Other than that, I was very happy with the project and their work, and would certainly use them again.
