I'm a few years late posting this, but feels the need to anyways. Worst experience ever with a contractor. I had a water pipe come off and flood 3 rooms. They came out very professionally and gave a quote and a time when they would start. My job turned out to be an afternoon project that took 3 months to finish and it was misquoted. I ended up having to finish some of the work myself. I guess what bothered me the most about it all was that they painted some of the drywall that had water damage. The portion that was painted was hanging there like a piece of wallpaper flapping in the wind.

Everything went great, informed when work would be completed based on weather.

Excellent results.

.Everything went very well do to the fact that Richard Hyde kept us informed of every detail during the construction. As with any construction project there were changes that had to be made and we were always informed of the changes needed and we were given the last word on any change. The contractor kept us involed from the beginning to the end. We have used Hyde Home Improvement for various projects since this addition was completed including a new roof, installing a dryer vent through a poured foundation, and general maintenance work. Any questions we had were addressed immediately and honestly.

The only criticism i can give is the job took longer than anticipated.  There was a problem during construction where water leaked into my basement because of a malfunctioning gutter.  I called the owner of the company on a Sunday night during a storm and he was at my door within 5 minutes to correct the problem.

I was very pleased with the outcome of all the work done by Hyde Home Improvement. 
I will use this firm for all future projects on my Louisville property and have recommended them to other family members in the Louisville and Elizabethtown areas. 

I can best describe Hyde Home Improvement as a Professional, Hardworking, Honest, Conscientious and Christian company that is committed to and produces outstanding results.

Thanks to severe wind storm that wreaked havoc on some very old trees in front of my home, several very large limbs destroyed my front porch and also damaged the roof and siding. I called Hyde Home Improvement on the suggestion of a friend, and was not disappointed. They were promptly available for an estimate, completed the work quickly and thoroughly, and gave me a very fair price, which actually ended up being under the insurance estimate. Their work is professional, looks amazing, and has held up extremely well. In addition, the guys were extremely friendly and personable, and a blast to chit chat with when I passed them in the yard.

I would absolutely recommend Hyde Home Improvement for any job - these guys know their stuff, and are good, down-to-earth folks who are a pleasure to deal with.

This is our "forever house" and we're picky about the quality of work done here. We interviewed five different people in order to get this done. I found Hyde Home Improvement on Angie's List and gave them a call. Mr. Hyde came over the next day. He explained in detail  HOW he would go about making the repairs so I was confident that he knew what he was doing. I received the estimate (via email) the day after that. He understood that I travel a lot and that was the biggest obstacle to overcome. We coordinated via email and as soon as I had a travel break, they began work.

They were able to fix the ceiling, replace the drywall and insulation and even got the texture right on the ceiling. It took them a period of several days to complete the work but it was important to us that the job was done RIGHT and not necessarily fast. Today, even if you knew there had been damage downstairs, you'd be hard pressed to tell where it happened. The repairs were that good. Another thing they did was paint the entire ceiling so there is no color difference. We are very pleased with the work they did. Their pricing was consistent with the estimate (they deducted the amounts for the work we decided later not to do) and they showed up when they said they would. We would certainly use them again.

Telling all would take along time, but the main thing is they do not want to work and their work is far from professional.  We signed the agreement on 12/15/2010 and as of 08/12/2011 they are far from done.  They started off building the addition, it started raining and everything leaked.  Their worksite is not safe, we found a hot extention cord in water, and nails just thrown down.  When they removed the bedford stone from the house they just left it in my yard, along with alot of other junk.  This was brought to their attention several times, however I had to clean up my yard and they are no better when they got inside.  I am not a carpenter but I know when a floor and walls are not level, and rooms are not square.  First time I went into the master bath after the tile floor was done, I stubbed by toe on one of the tiles that is sticking up, that is how far off these tiles are.  There is little holes in the walls were they had put some mud,  you can see the seams between the drywall, it still leaks in the great room around the door.  My husband had to fix the gutters on the backside of the house because they were leaking so bad it was causing my basement to leak. 

We have left our house unlocked for this company so they would not have to work around our schedule for the past 8 months (we were told it would take 4 months to complete)but it is getting to that time of year I cannot leave it unlocked. 

This is what happens, they keep talking like they are almost done, and we caused all the delays, however the door was to be a 36' door, they framed and  ordered for double doors.  There was to be a window in master bath, it was not there, had to redo.  Other issues that has not been addressed are the master shower is wider at the one end than the other, shower door is not what my husband had told the lead guy he wanted, one door going into the small bath is around a inch off, 5" on one side and 6" on the other from the ceiling, the small bathroom floor is not level, and you can play spin the level, instead of spin the bottle, on the tile that  has been laid down in the master bath.
  
   ABOUT A TWO MONTHS AGO WE HAD ANOTHER CONTRACTOR COME IN TO TAKE A LOOK AT PUTTING DOWN THE HARDWOOD FLOOR AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS MR. HYDES COMPANY DID NOT BUILD THE ADDITION ACCORDING TO THE BUILDING CODE.

I have attached pictures of the fine work Mr. Hyde has done.  If you care about your home, do NOT hire this company.  We have now turned it all over to our attorney, since Mr. Hyde has refused to fixed his error.
