We heard noises of tiolet refilling for 2 weeks and contacted Hymer plumbing in this regard. One of their servicemen came out, listened to the noise and repaired one of the 2 toilets upstairs. Immediately after his repair, the refilling toilet noise returned. We re-contacted Hymer plumbing in this regard. They mentioned they would send a service man back out. Unfortunately , prior to his return, the cut off valve on the unrepaired toilet failed and flooded the downstairs costing $1,200.00 for clean up. I depend on these service people to make the right diagnosis and repair. As you can see that didn't happen in this case and what could have been repaired correctly and cost effectively initially turned into a snowball of costs amounting to $1,577.94.

Raymond said he would not work on mobile homes and recommended Larry Hymer. Larry came out to the home had his assistant do all the work while he just stood there staring into space. There was some peas on the sink and he said that it was because of the peas that the kitchen sink was not draining. I understand that but he kept complaining and I did not want to stand there to listen to him complain. This was NOT a free estimate. They charged me a $65 service call fee plus $140 for using a just a drain snake. After a few hours the water was still not going down. I called him and told him what was happening. The assistant came out there and did the same thing, he used the drain shake and after a few hours the water was still not going down. By this time I was upset, I had to call off work again for them to fix a job they should have fixed on their first visit. Larry had the gall to charge me another $65 service charge fee plus $140 for the so called job they did. There was nothing done to fix the problem. I had to call another plumber to come and look at it. This experience was a total waste of time and of my hard earned money.

Response from Raymond Hymer Plumbing Inc
"[Removed member information] This is Dennis Hymer the owner of Raymond Hymer Plumbing, I am sorry for the problems you had with your plumber; however, this review was for another plumbing company. Raymond Hymer Plumbing did not do any work for you, we only gave a referral for another plumbing company. We would appreciate it if you would delete or remove this review from our name and place it under the company that did the work. Again we are sorry for your bad experience. Sincerely Dennis Hymer"

I called to have three issues corrected. Max and another man came in and went to work separately on the bathtub faucet and wet bar sink. Max found that the bathtub faucet simply had a broken handle so he moved to connecting the hose bibb that had been capped off in the previous winter because of a frozen pipe. The wet bar sink wouldn't go in so my husband left to buy a new tub handle and different wet bar. The Moen faucet we needed wasn't in stock but we were able to order one and fix it later on our own. The other wet bars for sale were even larger than the one we had so after they reconnected the hose bibb, both guys worked on widening the area to make the new sink fit. They completed the work and I appreciated getting two guys for the price of one at $75/hr plus materials. The only negative thing was that after they drove away, I noticed they left several cigarette butts in my driveway. I wish they would have been more considerate to not leave their litter for me to pick up.

They arrived when they said they would, got right to work not wasting any time. One of the men turned the water off at the main line and the other was removing the toilet valve line. Then the first one went under the house, removed the outside faucet and the other joined him and they took out the old outside faucet and replaced it. They were here for an hour, got the job done, cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased with their job and would definitely call them again.

i started to call one of the and quot;chainand quot; plumbers, but after talking with my manager she said she found a plumbing company that she was very happy with and would call them anytime thier services were needed. She gave me the name and I called, I had no appointment but they said they could squeeze me in. I was only about 10 minutes from work and they called me when they had time and met me at my house. The were great, very professional and knew what they were doing.
I had to get back to work so I let them do what they needed to do (turns out they had to take the toilet up) and they found the problem. They were nice enough to put the bathroom rack, which has to be screwed on behind the toilet. And you couldn't even tell they were there. They left everything very clean.
I was really nervous because I knew the bill was going to be a hummer! LOL! But i was pleasantly surprised, they charged me a very fair price for the work done.
Red Roof and I will keep them for any future work needed!!!

I had an extension done to my house and he was recommended by someone, and I was told that he was pretty good. He is quick to come in and does what I need to do. He is dependable. He is there when he says he is going to be there. I have used him several times in the past. He has continued to do good work for me.

In the spring of 2011, I noticed a foul odor coming from my kitchen sink and gnats were terrible. The sink wasn't stopped up, so I believed it was a leak under my house. I also had two other very minor jobs that needed to be completed--a leaky faucet in my bathtub and a leaky supply line on my toilet. I called Hymer plumbing and explained regarding all three needed repairs. Mr Hymer was very pleasant on the phone and estimated my cost to be around $250.00. I scheduled an appointment for the repairs to be completed.
They neither showed up for the scheduled appointment nor did they call. I called them late in the afternoon to inquire regarding this. They apologized and stated that it would be the next day and they would call when they were enroute.
The next day they came to do the repairs. I expressed concern regarding the odor and gnats in my kitchen. They stated they would put lime under the house to assist with drying the soil and this would take care of both problems.
They looked at the repairs to be completed and chose to do the two minor repairs first. I agreed to this. They repaired the toilet leak first and then proceeded to begin repair on the faucet. They stated they needed parts and left the home to procure them. They were gone for approximately 2 hours. When they returned, I questioned why they were gone so long. They stated they had tried Plumber's Supply (about 3 miles from my house) and then Ace Hardware. There was no reason for them being gone so long as both places are close by. They reassembled my faucet and and then notified me that the entire system in the tub would have to be replaced. The faucet continued to leak. They stated they would be back the next morning to complete the drain line problem in my kitchen.
The next day I received a call from my husband stating that the drain line was repaired and the bill was well over the estimated quoted cost for repairs. He stated it was $450.00 (approximately). We questioned the price since the tub faucet wasn't repaired and they were gone two hours to get parts. They asked for payment at that time. We refused to pay the bill until we spoke with Mr. Hymer.
I called Mr. Hymer and explained my concerns regarding the bill. He agreed to take a half hour off the bill--$37.50. I continued to express my disappointment at the price since the cost was not what was estimated, they'd taken two hours to and quot;get partsand quot; and the repairs were not completed. I considered taking this to small claims court, but had not made a decision. I did not pay the bill.
Mr. Hymer called and stated he was going to sue for the amount. I agreed, against my better judgement, to pay the bill. Mr. Hymer agreed to come by the house to pick up the check.
I am totally dissatisfied with this company and wouldn't hire them or recommend them to anyone I know to complete any repair.
