Our furnace stopped running correctly on Christmas day!  It worsened as the day progressed, and the temperature in the house started to drop.  The next morning, which was Friday, Dec 26, we looked online at our service options.  We are new to the area and had not previously done business with any of them.  We "threw the dart"  and called Abe's. We explained the issue over the phone.  A service man was at our house within 45 minutes!  They crawled into our nasty crawl space and checked it out.  They needed one part, but found their normal parts provider was closed for the day.  They left, but returned one hour later, part in hand.  They quickly replaced it and were on their way. 

We were extremely happy with their service, professionalism, speed, and even price.  We paid $387 for parts and service, and that seemed very fair.

We would call them again without hesitation and recommend them to others.  Thanks, Abe's!!

My experience with Abe Service was excellent. They actually came twice, and on both times, they came the same day I called. For the first call, my heat pump had been making an odd sound. The technician stayed for over half an hour trying to prompt the heat pump to repeat the sound, but it never did. A couple of months later, my air conditioner stopped working, and I called again. The same technician came and discovered the unit was frozen up. He stayed for almost an hour, working on the unit--getting it unfrozen, adding freon, and repairing a part that was bad. Abe Service was extremely competent, friendly, and accommodating. Now, my system is working wonderfully. I would definitely recommend them.

All of the work Abe Service, Chris Taylor and group has been of the highest quality with prompt service when needed. They are our go-to hvac group.

ABE came to give me the estimate on services requested at the time scheduled. They were very patient with me (a single woman) in explaining how their systems work. This helped me make an educated decision on exactly what I wanted in an heating/air system. I obtained several estimates, but was comfortable with this company, so I called ABE back to let them know that I had gotten a lower estimate from another company. ABE returned to my home to gave me another estimate which ended up being $250.00 less than the original estimate. ABE came on the date scheduled and completed the job within the estimated time frame that they originally told me. ABE returned a couple of time after completion to answer questions and check on the functioning of the system. I am confident that if I have any problems, that I can call them "anytime". I am very pleased with this company!

I called Abe Service one day, and Tom Roll came the next day. I told the company to put customers whose units were not working ahead of me.

The work was done quickly and the the bill was less than I thought for service and parts. These guys seem to be happy to help and willing to discuss what they are doing with you at the time. I will be using ABE again.

Josh and Tom Roll, a founding owner of Abe Service, arrived sooner than promised, about 30 minutes after I called. They managed to start the furnace, working in 13 degree cold in my unheated garage for more than an hour to do so, but Tom cautioned me that the motor was going bad and he showed me how he had temporarily jury-rigged a section where a piece near the pilot light had melted,causing the odor. The furnace shut down again at 5:30 p.m. Chris from Abe's Service arrived within 30 minutes of my call, and worked for two hours to start it in the freezing cold garage, then showed me how to restart the furnace using a switch in the garage and the thermostat. The furnace shut down again around midnight and I was unable to start it Thursday morning, after working for another hour on it, Tom Roll advised that it would cost me more in replacement parts (including the mother board) and service calls to fix the old furnace than to replace the internal system. I agreed that I would likely be making constant repairs as other parts broke. Within three hours, I had a new system, which Tom and Josh installed, using the original metal box. I have used Abe Service for 15 years, and will continue to do so. They are kind, honest, concerned, polite, hard-working people who arrive promptly, always try to make repairs before they suggest replacements, and keep their charges affordable.
