Summer 2013. Had a spring replaced less than 3 yrs ago. Ken was more than willing to replace at a reduced charge. Took 2 weeks for a call back. I delayed payment by to weeks since they delayed calling me. Very nice when arrived but unprofessional they don't call back. Now December and the Spring is broke again. Called last Saturday and still no call back as of Wednesday. Office person very snappy. Told it would be Friday maybe before they came out. I had to cut the Spring just to get my garage down. What company can't even call you back when people are begging for customers. I will have to deal with the financial piece legally but I have to wonder why when I said I was going to post on Angie's List the office person said I don't believe we are part of Angie's List. Just don't care. I am find someone else to spend my hard earned money with.

I have a 4 year old Wayne Dalton garage door with a Wayne Dalton idrive Pro opener. The spring on the door broke so I called Wayne Dalton to fix it. They referred me to another company who came out and replaced the springs. In the process of the repair the other company broke my Wayne Dalton idrive garage door opener. They, along with the manufacturer of the opener, told me it could not be fixed and needed to be replaced. ($500 to $800 after required door modifications) The other company removed the opener and left me with a manual door.
I found  The Door Company and they fixed the opener in 10 minutes and then reinstalled it for me. Ken Shafer and his team are the experts on Wayne Dalton idrive openers. The opener and the door work better than when they we installed by the manufacturer less than 4 years ago. The price was very fair, they communicated with me about arrival time, they showed up on time, and they cleaned up. While they proved to me they are very knowledgeable and skilled, they charged me less than the other "recommended" company.
Next time I will call The Door Company in Belleview, KY first.

They were quick and efficient. They showed up quickly. He was very quick about his business and he seemed very experienced.

My garage door stopped functioning in the evening.  Rather a problem if I was to get to work.  Early the next day, I contacted the original installer, The Door Company.  Even though the installation had occurred 12 years ago, they had my contact details in their electronic system.  That's impressive.  I asked if someone could come the same day to repair the door.  Within 30 minutes, a representative of the company was at my house.  The repair took less than 1 hour.  Kudos to the Door Company!!
