Description of Work: This contractor was hired to replace a roof. the work was done in different phases. From the ground - it looked find - so I paid him. when it rained, a drip edge had been left off and water came inside thru a window head. with further investigation, the roof had several defects. He only installed the rain drip I purchased and did not make any other corrections to the job (too busy). In the meantime, I had him rebuilt some concrete steps - which he did - but did not remove the forms - so the tenant had to do that. The concrete had pockets - and he has not filled them or taken away the form work wood. I had paid him since he seemed to be doing a good job (before I was on the roof). He was also hired to repair a small leak in the ceiling of an apartment. He made some repairs - reduced the leak - but the tenants have reported a smaller leak - which has not been fixed (nor the ceiling tiles replaced - but this is understandable since there is still a leak.) At this time he had also committed to finishing up 2 bathrooms in a house I am renovating. He was to smooth out the drywall finish, paint the walls and ceiling, finish installing the shower/bath tub, 2 toilets and 2 sinks. He was also to finish the drywall in the downstairs ktichen. Instead, he has stolen the fixtures I purchased, and 2 compressors I had in the vacant house. The bathroom walls were mostly painted but the mud was not smooth (he agreed and said he would rework it - but never did). The ceilings were rolled but not cut in. He borrowed a ladder which he has not returned. He borrowed $300 more than the payments for the work - and has not paid that back. this sounds like the making of a movie - and unfortunately it is real life. I am filing a police report for some of these issues.
