I've got a 2002 Hyundai Sonata and have given Fannin a lot of business, just kept giving them the benefit of the doubt. Last time just a few weeks ago in October, 2014 I paid nearly $600 after a couple of visits because my car would not take in gas. I had to return my car five FIVE times to Fannin for the same problem....they'd say it was fixed but when I tried (at numerous gas stations) to get gas in it would allow like $2.00 and then click off, dumping fuel on my foot or let me put in like 5 cents at a time and click off. The last time I finally gave up getting in $6 worth of gas (which at over $3 a gallon at the time isn't a whole lot of gas!) and it took like 10 minutes to get that much!!! They (Fannin) replaced all of the filler neck assembly which we found online for like $95 but it cost me $600 at Fannin. Then another incident a few months back my flange or something on the manifold came undone. They wanted to charge me $1200 ! to order and put in a whole new exhaust system and keep my car at least three days. My husband said, and quot;Why can't you just weld it?and quot; and quot;Oh, I wouldn't trust a weld.and quot; We took it down to a muffler shop and that guy knew immediately what the problem was just listening to the car as we drove in. We asked the cost and the muffler shop said it would be about $75 to weld it and would take about 45 minutes to an hour. Needless to say we got it fixed at the muffler shop! They only seem to want to replace things, not FIX things at Fannin. I won't even mention how much it cost me to get my engine rebuilt at Fannin's way before I knew about Angie's List. Wish I'd known about Angie's List BEFORE I have spent so much time and money on this company!

It went really great and they even provided me with a ride to my work almost 20 miles away and picked me up at the end of my shift. They were really polite, accommodating, and helpful and went above and beyond

The completed the work as usual, quick and efficient.

Spark plugs were changed. However, the mechanic I had asked to show me the parts that were removed could not produce them, even though this request was made know prior to work beginning. After driving the vehicle a few days a smell of raw gasoline was apparent through out the vehicle on start up and occasionally during stressful driving conditions. I scheduled a return visit and was told they could not duplicate the problem. I then waited another few weeks and scheduled an appoint with another local dealer ( diagnostic fee of 85 dollars ). The outcome was that they found 3 loose spark plugs, one of which was loose enough to fall out when touched by the diagnosing mechanic. All 3 plugs now required replacement again ( another charge for services).
If spark plugs are not tightened to spec then the combustion chamber can not keep appropriate pressure and will leak gas vapor which can be ignited by the sparkplug firing and lead to an engine fire. I was just lucky no real damage occurred to the vehicle, in this instance it was only my wallet that sustained critical damage.

I've taken our Nissan truck to them as well. The price can be a little high, but it's worth it to know it's done right. Their service department overall is excellent...they have a lot of amenities too.
