Tom was great. He was easily able to remedy the problem. Another, much larger company said the drain couldn't be unclogged with normal equipment. Tom discovered the "other guys" weren't correctly identifying certain parts of the plumbing assembly and he was able to make short work of it. His costs were also about 1/2 of the bigger company that misdiagnosed the work to begin with.

I have used Him a number of times and have recommended him to others who also found him to be a good guy and a good plumber. He replaced my water heater with the latest model of the same equipment at what I believe was a reasonable price. He was able to fit me in on the day I called; notified me when he was on the way so I could leave work and meet him at my home. He has fixed many issues in our 60+ year old house and has always shown up when promised, fixed the problem and stands behind his work.

It was a Saturday and we had family coming. We had a clogged drain. He came within 30 minutes of us calling him, did the job and was out the door. He was very friendly and personable. We would call him back. I like just the fact that they cared. It wasn't an astronomical price. It was a clogged sink drain. My husband had snaked it himself and it was far out. He came in and got it done, cleaned up after himself. It was a very good experience.

The washing machine drain line was partially blocked, causing water to flood the kitchen. I called several plumbers on Angie's List but Tom was the only one who called right back and was able to come out the next day. He snaked the line then got down into the crawl space to check out the pipe. We knew it had a hole in it but hadn't been able to repair it at the time. I told Tom that the other company who'd installed our water heater (and discovered the hole) had given me a quote of $200 to fix it but that was months ago. Tom outright said he couldn't match that and suggested I see if the other company would still honor the quote. If not, he said he could fix it for $300. I thanked him and he left but he returned shortly. He thought the hole might not be so bad after all; it was just that he'd run 3 loads of laundry water down the pipe just before inspecting it and so the crawl space was soaked. He said that he could come back the next day to look at it and, if it was still a minor hole, he'd match the $200. I agreed. It actually took 2 days for him to return because of a plumbing emergency but that was fine. He called before our appointment time so I wasn't left wondering. In the end, he was able to match the $200 quote and we finally got the pipe fixed.

This guy ROCKS! Seriously!! Here's how I know......One day the drain that my washing machine empties in to began to back up. I had owned my home for 2 years at that point it had never backed up before. It began to back up every time I did a load of laundry. I began to back up into the finished side of my basement. I began to call plumbers. Over about 6 months I called 3 different plumbers, They all came back at least twice, because my drain would back up immediately after they would leave. One company even sent their guy out 3 different times. They all snaked my drains over and over and even searched for possible different main drains that they could have missed. That company, after sending their guy out 3 times, told me he would have to bring in the scoping camera to fix the problem, it would cost at least $500. At this point I had spent nearly $1,500 on plumbers and my drain was worse that it was when I started. Exasperated and spent, I got thirty bags off sand and baracaded my drain. Several months later I decided to try again and started with my new subscription to Angie's List. I came across a review on the Clogfather that said he had fixed a problem that no one else had been able to fix. I gave him a call. He answered the phone, he scheduled an appointment with him within a few day window, he arrived on time, he walked into my basement took one look and said "what drain have they been snaking?" I pointed to the main one. He replied "that's not the problem. See that over there, that is the drain to your garbage disposal and is mostly likely clogged". He snaked it for under an half an hour, ran my washing machine and the water went down. He spent awhile discussing with me how to better maintain my garbage disposal to avoid further backup. I paid a mere $95 or so and he was done. It has been nearly 4 months and my drain hasn't missed a beat. Seriously, if you have a clog call this guys for sure and whatever else he does I would trust. I could have saved myself about $1400 if only I had called him first!

The contractor's sub installed a shower pan drain incorrectly. The Clogfather found the problem, and explained it to us and the contractor. Then the sub came out and "fixed" it. They mentioned the drain was leaking. I called The Clogfather to come fix the drain. He felt the sub had caused the problem. The Clogfather fixed the whole thing and we paid him. He explained the situation to the contractor in such a fashion that the contractor paid us for the plumber.
