My experience with this company is not as well as I wish I could’ve reported. Unfortunately my 2 year cousin was exposed to being told that he was dark and he had to hear his aunt get asked if he stayed in the sun a lot. When I called to make a complaint on this man an employee who appears to be old enough for my dad there was the excuse of this man not knowing in better. When you make excuses for this type of inappropriate behavior you are part of the problem and you’re not helping the problem. Growing up in a different time frame doesn’t excuse you from offending the next person just because In your era that’s what they did. God sees all and hears all. We are his creation as well and it’s a shame that you can’t hire people to come and simply do something as simple as spraying a chemical w/o exposing young black kids at the age of 2 and 4 to self hate because some employee personally feels a certain type of way. He should have came by, did his job, and politely left without him sharing his personal opinion. I think the lady apologized maybe she didn’t but the making excuses for bad behavior is not a good look for this company.

You were on your way out when I arrived, but your sister was there with three young children. After I finished my work, I had a conversation in the living room with your sister to explain the work I had done and to let her know that I wanted to send a technician back the next week to check on our progress. Yours was the last stop of my day, and I remember the smile it brought to my face to see your young son playing energetically. I remember commenting on how full of life he was. I did ask about him playing outside and about his complexion, but I assure you that to me that isn't a negative thing. My wife is Hispanic and Native American, and I'm jealous of how dark she gets after just a couple hours working with me in our garden. (I tend to just get red and peel.) My parents and grandparents are all white, but our family tree has become very diverse, and Sunday dinner at our homes are filled with children and grandchildren who are blond, brunette and redheads, fair-skinned, brown and black, all playing together and loving one another. We all make a conscious effort to imitate their loving acceptance of others. I realize that the world is filled with a lot of ugliness and that many people fear, distrust and even hate others because they look or sound different. The fact that my comment made you feel that I was treating your son that way has caused me some sleepless nights. I truly apologize, and I will work hard to make sure that I don't ever unintentionally hurt anyone with a thoughtless comment again. The Signature Pest Control family is culturally and racially diverse, and our customers come from all over the world. We work hard for all of them, and instead of letting our differences become walls between us, we celebrate those differences and embrace one another as children of our impartial and loving Creator. The technician was right on time and very polite and thorough in the inspection of our home. He asked questions about any problem areas we had with insects in the past. We had an ant problem on one specific side of the house, so he paid special attention to that area. He even went into the attic and dusted for spiders. I also appreciated that he drew a diagram of our home so he could show me exactly what areas around the perimeter of the house were treated. He gave us a copy of the diagram to keep for our files.
