Shamrock Tire

We had used Shamrock in the past 10 years and have been happy with them until recently. They had been able to immediately work on our car and we didn't have to leave it for days on end at first. This particular time we had a light that came on and it was a sensor that was going out and it needed to be replaced. First, we have always been able to get a ride to our residence when something happened and we had taken the car in if we were by ourselves. We were told that there was no one with a valid license other than one of the men that was working on a ticket for us and a mechanic, otherwise we would have to walk or find another way because they wouldn't take home like they have in the past. To us that was a BIG red flag.
We don't like the current manager who charges an outrageous price for and quot;shop suppliesand quot; for something that probably didn't need much. And we feel he charges for every little item that has had to be worked on again that is under warranty. If this manager isn't here, employees treat customers much better and have a good professional relationship with new and even long time customers. The fee for the and quot;shop suppliesand quot; was $15.00. Unless there was really something and quot;specialand quot; about their shop supplies, we feel that this is outrageous for a shop rag or two.
Meanwhile, we got a hold of the mechanic who we told about a problem last year about an oil leak. We had taken the car over to have a couple of valve cover gaskets changed to stop the leak but the leak continued. We had taken it back to tell the mechanic and then we started noticing oil in the radiator which was told to this mechanic he initially told us that it was normal and we don't think he ever checked in the first place. After he looked at it this last time, he finally admitted he didn't check it out, after we taken the cap off of the radiator and had shown him the oil in the radiator fluid, no water in the oil at this time. We have taken it to another mechanic who told us that it was not good and that if the mechanic had listened to us the first time, we wouldn't possibly be in deep doo doo now. It now looks like we may have to have the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets changed, radiator completely flushed, which Shamrock doesn't have the equipment for, another type of antifreeze put in, an oil change and a few other things that WERE NOT caught initially. Now this entire car maybe ruined because someone didn't listen to a female and take things seriously. If we don't have a cracked block, it's going to cost us over $1,100 to do what should have been done in the first place. We're not happy about being without a car for several days because of these oversights.
This is a deal breaker to stay with this company after many, many years of being loyal customers to this business.
We had been talking about getting tires with this company and we think we are not going to come here to get tires for our vehicles, we will find somewhere else to go.

I love them. They pretty much get me right in and out. They've been able to work with me and give me an estimate and get the work done. I don't have to wait for 2 weeks to just get the car into the shop. I would continue to use these folks in the future.

I never had any problem with them. They take my car in and repair as soon as possible so that I don’t have to wait for three or four weeks. They have been very honest. Their service is good.
