Appliance Repair, Dryer Vent Cleaning
I would highly recommend this company. They are a locally owned family business, and very friendly. He was able to do the work the same day I called, since we both live in Derby.

Appliance Repair
Repaired under maintenance contract so no cost. They did the same job three times in a row over the last 3 months. Tech was here about 45 minutes. About 15 to 20 minutes after arrival, he got a phone call that his wife collapsed and was in hospital, so he had to rush.

Appliance Repair
Called the toll free number and was able to schedule for same day service. The repair person's trip was viewable from my iPhone. The repairman was very professional and knowledgeable. Since the repair involved a minor electrical adjustment, we were only charged for the service call. I would definitely use them again. The other appliance service listed on this site as A rated, was not helpful at all, and stated their dishwasher repair person would not be able to fit us in for 2 weeks. It seems unacceptable to be a top rated appliance repair service, and have a 2 week wait for service, and to not be able or willing to suggest another repair company.

They were prompt, very polite and went the extra mile getting the washer and dryer in the house and setting them up. They also took away the old set.

So first of all, you have to make an appointment and they refuse to narrow down the time. 8-5 is all they say. I requested they call before coming, but they had my phone number wrong, so could not reach me to get in the house (I live 6 minutes away). So, new appointment, corrected phone number. He spent exactly 1 minute looking at the machine before declaring it was $400 to fix. He told my I should have been rinsing with vinegar monthly! I said no, but had to pay for the service call. Then I called the appointments place to complain about the cost and they said they would let me pay an additional $129 to obtain the service guarantee that would cover any costs over $400! At this point I called Sears in town and he recommended I call a local repairman, Charlie Green. He also stated that the repairmen I had was fired by Sears. Charlie came, pulled out the plug of matter that prevented the dishwasher from cleaning, also suggested a vinegar rinse monthly. But he only charged $65, AND FIXED IT!
It doesn't stop here. Twice I have called the Sears service place and asked to be put through to a manager after telling my story. My intention was to ask for a refund. Twice I've been put on hold. The second time, I was at my office and just put it on speakerphone while attending to my work. It was disconnected after 1/2 hr.
Folks, Sears was a great idea for awhile. But they are unresponsive and expensive at best, and even deceptive at worst. Please call and support the local repairmen if you can. Charlie Green in El Dorado, KS, is the best!

Appliance Repair
On June 27, we experienced the following:
· 9:00 a.m. (approx.) – Sears/Aand E tech arrived and looked at fridge. Agreed the issue was the sealed system. Advised he didn’t have time to repair it and would have to reschedule it for July 8th. I advised that wasn’t acceptable as I would be unavailable that week and questioned why he didn’t have time given that he was advised as to the nature of the problem. He said he was routinely overbooked with 9-12 customers a day and suggested I call GE back and see if they could send a different company. I said I would call Sears/Aand E first to see if there was anything they could do.
· 9:30 a.m. – Called Sears/Aand E and asked what could be done. Spoke to Roxanne who put me through to the Executive Office. After being put on hold several times, I was advised that the tech would be returning to my house as soon as he had completed the job where he was currently. The executive office stated they had spoken directly with the tech.
· 11:50 a.m. – Called Aand E to ask for the status of the tech as I had taken a half-day off from work to accommodate the timeframe of 8:00 a.m. - noon and he had not yet come back. Was advised by “Demaris” that my appointment had been cancelled because GE “had put in the work order wrong.” I asked to be transferred to a manager, but was transferred to a phone that rang continuously and after 3 minutes of no answer, I hung up.
· 11:56 a.m. – Called Aand E again and re-explained the situation to “Marcia” who was extremely rude and told me I needed to call GE, that the work order had been put in wrong, and so my appointment had been cancelled. I explained over and over that the tech had been at my house earlier, had stated that he would do the repair at a later date, and that the executive office had made a commitment to me for him to return that morning. There was no discussion of the work order being wrong. She kept arguing that was not the case and that I had to call GE. I pointed out that the commitment for the tech to return had been made by Aand E and that if this commitment could not be kept, the appropriate thing for Aand E to have done was call me to advise so I was not waiting around. She insisted that was not Aand E’s responsibility to call me and that GE should have called. I asked to be transferred back to the executive office and she refused. I asked to speak to a manager and she refused. She insisted that I call GE back and have them start the process all over again.
· 12:30 p.m. – Called Sears Corporate Office and lodged a customer complaint with a representative named “Jasmine.” Reference number 1516036. She took the details and advised me to also email the details to this email address. She stated she would send me a copy of the complaint to my email, but this has not yet been received.
· 2:55 p.m. – Called GE again and spoke with “Phillip” who advised that the work order was still open and that Aand E would have to cancel it, that his computer did not even give him the option to cancel it. He also confirmed that the work order HAD been put in correctly….as the fridge is over 1 year old, the work order had to be submitted as non-warranty, but if it was determined that the sealed system was the problem, the parts and labor WOULD be covered by GE as indicated in the Warranty paperwork. He stated that the tech should have called GE and, as Aand E is an authorized repair company, he would have known this. I asked to have a different company handle the work, but was advised that Aand E is the only company servicing my area.
· 3:21 p.m. – Called Aand E and re-explained the situation to “Hannah”, who transferred me to the Escalation group where I spoke to “Julian”. Julian reviewed the details and confirmed that the appointment had not been cancelled and the tech should have called GE to have the repair authorized. If the tech was unsure of the situation, he could also have called Aand E’s tech line to discuss, but did not. The call ended with another commitment being made that a tech would come to my house on July 2nd between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. This means that I have to ask for yet ANOTHER half-day off and hope that this time the tech will have enough time and knowledge to actually handle the repair and the warranty work.
This is easily the WORST customer service experience it has ever been my misfortune to experience. Aand E is responsible for wasting hours of my time today; I have been subjected to unacceptable rudeness, unkept commitments, bad and conflicting information, and general ineptitude. To make it WORSE, I am forced to continue to do business with Aand E to get my refrigerator fixed, and have zero confidence that July 2nd will be any better than today.

Plumbing, Water Softener Service
They will charge you to do any additional work besides just plugging it in and attaching it to the plumbing that was all ready. You need to pay attention to the fine print with the installation paperwork and what they will and will not do without charging you.
