Shane kept us updated via phone calls, visits and text messaging on when crews would be at our house, when they would be working, etc. I was surprised to see a crew working on our house on a weekend, but they did and pretty much got it all done in one day. It took a little while longer for the shed since the sheet metal had to be ordered.
When the job was completed, they were very patient while we wrapped up the final paperwork with the insurance company and got them their final payment.
It was a very good experience. I will plan on using them again.

I started the roof replacement in early July of 2013 after the windstorm damaged it. There were several problems. The flashing around the chimney was left “up” after the initial shingles were put down. After pointing this out, the roofers beat it down with framing hammers, leaving cross hatch marks all over it. The edges that should be on top of the shingles were left standing high enough to have rain blow in under them. They had driven screws into the masonry between the bricks, but left it unsealed. After complaining, they smeared something with a caulk gun leaving trails and streaks, then shot paint over it. Angry, I complained, but told them not to touch it again. When I saw the stack of cap shingles on the roof instead of the ridge vents that were supposed to be installed I tried to talk to the person who seemed to be in charge. While he nodded and grunted, it became apparent he didn’t understand what I was saying. The ridge venting hadn’t been delivered, so he was just going to cap it off, with no venting whatsoever. When they left I noticed that the flashing around the soil stacks didn’t extend to the top of the soil stack so rain would go between the flashing and the stack. Called to have that fixed and wound up duct taping around the end of the flashing to keep the rain out (it rained off and on for two weeks). After the first call to complain, subsequent calls seemed to be ignored. I finally had to go to the office to explain why I hadn’t paid them. Pictures were truly worth a thousand words. It took over two weeks for them to “fix” this. When they were done I noticed that the cuts made in the flashing to fold over the stack extended over the edge of the stack, so ultimately I had to seal them to the stack to keep the rain out.
Then there were the gutters. I had contracted with Roof Mechanics to install new gutters. Long story short they couldn’t figure out how to do this on angled fascia. None of the seams came out right and it looked like a 12 year old’s first project. Plus, they were hung 2” below the roof flashing. I could see the inside back of the gutter and the fascia from the street. After complaining they eventually sent a crew to “fix” this. The gutters were moved up where they belong closer to the roof flashing, but no attempt was made to correct the angle problem. I could still see the inside back of the gutter. It was now October and, tired of dealing with them, I paid them so I didn’t have to see another of their crew on my property. I painted the inside of the gutter so I didn’t look so bad and will correct the angle myself.
So ultimately a roof and gutters took four months to complete and I’m not satisfied with the work. But I’ll finish it myself rather than deal with them again.
