Shane kept us updated via phone calls, visits and text messaging on when crews would be at our house, when they would be working, etc. I was surprised to see a crew working on our house on a weekend, but they did and pretty much got it all done in one day. It took a little while longer for the shed since the sheet metal had to be ordered.

When the job was completed, they were very patient while we wrapped up the final paperwork with the insurance company and got them their final payment.

It was a very good experience. I will plan on using them again.

The job went fine with them and it was a good experience. Their behavior was professional and their cleanup was good. Their follow-up was good and I would recommend them highly to friends and family members. Their price was competitive.

I started the roof replacement in early July of 2013 after the windstorm damaged it. There were several problems. The flashing around the chimney was left “up” after the initial shingles were put down. After pointing this out, the roofers beat it down with framing hammers, leaving cross hatch marks all over it. The edges that should be on top of the shingles were left standing high enough to have rain blow in under them. They had driven screws into the masonry between the bricks, but left it unsealed. After complaining, they smeared something with a caulk gun leaving trails and streaks, then shot paint over it. Angry, I complained, but told them not to touch it again. When I saw the stack of cap shingles on the roof instead of the ridge vents that were supposed to be installed I tried to talk to the person who seemed to be in charge. While he nodded and grunted, it became apparent he didn’t understand what I was saying. The ridge venting hadn’t been delivered, so he was just going to cap it off, with no venting whatsoever. When they left I noticed that the flashing around the soil stacks didn’t extend to the top of the soil stack so rain would go between the flashing and the stack. Called to have that fixed and wound up duct taping around the end of the flashing to keep the rain out (it rained off and on for two weeks). After the first call to complain, subsequent calls seemed to be ignored. I finally had to go to the office to explain why I hadn’t paid them. Pictures were truly worth a thousand words. It took over two weeks for them to “fix” this. When they were done I noticed that the cuts made in the flashing to fold over the stack extended over the edge of the stack, so ultimately I had to seal them to the stack to keep the rain out.

Then there were the gutters. I had contracted with Roof Mechanics to install new gutters. Long story short they couldn’t figure out how to do this on angled fascia. None of the seams came out right and it looked like a 12 year old’s first project. Plus, they were hung 2” below the roof flashing. I could see the inside back of the gutter and the fascia from the street. After complaining they eventually sent a crew to “fix” this. The gutters were moved up where they belong closer to the roof flashing, but no attempt was made to correct the angle problem. I could still see the inside back of the gutter. It was now October and, tired of dealing with them, I paid them so I didn’t have to see another of their crew on my property. I painted the inside of the gutter so I didn’t look so bad and will correct the angle myself.

So ultimately a roof and gutters took four months to complete and I’m not satisfied with the work. But I’ll finish it myself rather than deal with them again.

I have never had a leak in my house, even after the hail storm. Roof mechanics replaced my roof on 10/17/13. I told them that it wasn't finished on 10/22/13. They hadn't finished it by 10/29/13 when overnight there was significant rainfall that came through my roof, destroying a large portion of my ceiling, carpeting and padding in my living room. They said it would take 3.5 days to fix, it took 2.5 weeks. I paid them their due amount per the signed original proposal of $8,900. They then sent me a bill for $11,600 to cover their expenses for damaging my house. I strongly do NOT recommend them to fix your roof, nor trust them in their billing practices.

What I liked that they were very good about communication as far as answering questions and taking time and explaining the process went. The overall job was very good. They got the main job done but there were some little things that they had to come back for and it took them a couple of weeks to take care of those. They sub contracted the gutter work. They were right in line with everybody else's pricing.

The work was done quickly, cleanup was perfect. In addition to the sales rep, their project manager and job foreman all gave me contact information in case I had any questions or problems. A couple of guys showed up the next week to put on a last piece of drip edge and ridge shingles I hadn't even noticed were missing. Then a couple of days later their quality assurance rep came and went up on the roof to inspect the work and make sure it was done properly.

Great. They were very prompt with the estimate. Then, when the work was to be done, they were right on time. They were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. They even called to check back a few weeks later to make sure I was satisfied.

Started good, nice people to talk to. The problems; There were over a dozen nails exposed below the shingle line that would cause a leak. I caught this the day after and called to have it fixed. After that was fixed I found more exposed nails around my chimney flashing. I went ahead and covered those myself because I was tired of calling. My second problem was that I picked up two large handfuls of nails scattered on top of the roof. Also on the ground around the house were small shingle pieces and other debris that were left. Not impressed with the clean up. On a good note the shingles are straight, but there should never be any exposed nails.

He said that he would call me the day before they came to do the work. We went on vacation and came back to a $500 bill in the mailbox saying that the work had been done. Now, even though the problem was supposedly fixed, the shingles are still loose and flying around. I have tried to contact them and they say that there is no guarantee of their work, but the seller told me that they indeed did guarantee their work within a couple of weeks.

Work done by English speaking crew of two guys. It took longer, but it was great being able to talk to the foreman and his helpers and to understand what they were saying to each other while on my roof. When comparing our roof to neighbors' roofs that were done by non speaking English large crews, we can see the difference. We have a constant pattern across the roof where others have breaks in the pattern where the men coming from opposite ends came together, or just poor planning and execution.
