Service man found the problem on first visit. We debated replacing unit, but decided to repair instead. They ordered the parts and returned a few days later. The friendly service man did his magic and now the machine is working like new. We have used Rick's over and over again and never hesitate to recommend them to others.

They showed up on time, gave me a detailed analysis of the issue. Didn't try to sale me anything. They were spot on and the fridge is now working just fine and I would hire them again in the furture.

I will now pay more to go anywhere else besides. In August 2015 we had to have Rick's Appliance come out to repair a Freon leak in our Whirlpool Refrigerator (Model: W10307054A, which I also will never purchase a Whirlpool appliance ever again). Kim came out while I was at work and my wife was home. After several hours of working on the refrigerator he determined there was a Freon leak and he would have to order parts and come back to fix it. Not only was Kim short with my wife, he was condescending and made her feel like incredibly ignorant with each question he asked. Feel free to make me feel stupid, but when you make my wife feel dumb, that's where I draw the line. They fixed it, $600+ later, and we moved on with our lives with the understanding we would certainly never use Rick's Appliance again if we ever had to. Fast forward 9 months to May of 2016. Our refrigerator's freezer stops freezing. We call Affordable Appliance in Wichita, who I would recommend to anyone! They were courteous, educated us on all of the questions I had, and were very accommodating. They defrosted our freezer and we thought everything was good. It was for a while anyway. A couple months later we had the same issue of our freezer not freezing so we called them back. When AA came back, they determined there was a Freon leak. They could have repaired our refrigerator but directed us to Whirlpool to get the refrigerator repaired under warranty because it had been less than one year. So I contact Whirlpool and they said they would direct me to the only "authorized repair company" in Wichita, Rick's Appliance. Great... Low and behold they send out a repair person. And guess who it is! Kim! The same condescending "professional" who "fixed" our refrigerator a year ago. The worst part of it all? Now Rick's Appliance won't even submit the refrigerator for warranty because they said "you called 3 days after the one year warranty expired." DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHY I CALLED 3 DAYS AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED!? Because your service was so remarkably terrible I swore I would never use you again. Now I'm FORCED to use you again. Over $600 , again. Now this $1,700 refrigerator has had nearly $1,300 put into it in 2.5 years of life. I will absolutely never purchase another Whirlpool product again and I will write another formal complaint to Whirlpool requesting them to drop you as their only "authorized repair" company in Wichita because of your lack of flexibility with your customers and the condescending attitude of your repair technicians. You know what Whirlpool tells me? "We can send you pricing on another Whirlpool refrigerator." Why in the heck would I want another awful product of yours!? We've put over $1,300 into a $1,700 refrigerator in just 2.5 years. Are you kidding me? Buy another product of yours? Are you delusional? I might consider a free extended warranty from you. But what do you up yourself and do? You send me a letter saying we can purchase an extended warranty for another $600! LOL Are you kidding me!? That's customer service to you people? We manufacture products that break down twice in 2.5 years. But you can buy an extended warranty for a product that isn't going to work. A remarkably awful business plan if you ask me. I plan on sharing my experience with as many people as possible.

Rick's was very quick to schedule my appointment. Called on 9-8-15 and they showed up on 9-9-15 in the morning. They called to advise me they were coming and I asked if I could take an extra 30 minutes to meet them at the house and the repair guy said he would wait for me and he did. After getting the gas line replaced he diagnosed the problem I was having and checked on available parts to fix the stove. Found out that they quit making parts for this stove back in 2009. This meant that he could not fix my problem. I will probably have to buy a new stove. I guess more than 20 years of service for a stove isn't to bad. I didn't like the labor charge of $60 for about 30 to 45 minutes of work.

Service man was professional, quick to find the problem, and gave good advice. I have used this company for years. The price was a little high, but I know I can trust them.

I first tried to set up an appointment online from their website but I didn't get a response and had to call them. A service call was set up for a 4 hour window and the technician showed up on time. When he arrived and came to the door he didn't introduce himself or tell me why he was here and was very unprofessional. Not once did he speak unless spoken to and was the most unfriendly technician I've ever used. The repair required a new circuit board which had to be ordered for a total cost of $240.00. When I asked about a senior, Angie's List or military discount I was told no, none are offered. After the technician left I called Rick's Appliances and filed a telephone complaint with the service desk and told them that I didn't like that technician and that if they sent him out to replace the part I would refuse to allow him to do it. The service desk apologized and promised that a different technician would be sent out next time. With no discounts of any kind they're expensive too.
While Rick's Appliances has an A rating and other customers are quite happy with their service I'm not happy nor satisfied. Overall I gave then a F rating and once this repair is complete I'll never use them again. Future customers beware Rick's is not what they appear to be. Call a different repair service or you may be sorry.

A month earlier they had come to fix knob on washing machine and same problem occured again, they ordered part but when came it was the casing of washer that held knob to turn and start the machine that had a piece broken on it so waited another week for part.
Wished they had noticed the piece was broken or cracked on first visit.

It was the worst expereince we have had with a service provider in Wichita. We had them come out to fix three things at one time and they charged us a trip charge for each item. When I called them to discuss the matter they unaplogetically told me that was the way they have done business for 43 years and will continue to do business. I also informed them that their explanation of charges on the back of the invoices said nothing regarding this policy NOR did the scheduling tech inform me of this policy.
We will never have them out to our home again

Our serviceman arrived on schedule and listened to the description of the problem. He was very friendly and went right to work. This involved removing the freezer drawer, defrosting the ice, working on the problem in the freezer and in the rear of the fridge. He showed me what happened and why and what he did to fix it. He was very knowledgeable about this model (it has a history of this very problem) and told me how keep it from happening quite so often. When he left there was no evidence that he had been here. All clean and a dry floor!

I have used Rick's Appliance Repair for many years (20 or so) and have always been very satisfied with their work. They are always there when they say, know what they are doing, and fix it right. I do not price shop any more because I know they are honest, reliable and do quality work. They get all A's from me.

See above. The price was a little steep only because of the required travel from Wichita to Winfield. It was worth it though due to the quick response and professionalism.

Quick response and professional job. I'll share some of his remarks:- don't wash the dishes before putting them in the machine. Blame my mother. - use a powder - recommended new Quantum. I'm gonna try it.

Called in the morning and they arrived within a couple of hours. Diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Advised me that the pump may fail and how much that repair would be in the future.
