I was scheduled for 10 am but Matthew called at 8:00 am and said that he could come early. I was pleasantly surprised and glad that he could come early. I had already vacuumed my furniture but Matthew still brushed off the pet hair and lent. He then put a pre-treatment on everything and cleaned 3 pieces of furniture. Matthew was very friendly and efficient. The smell of cleaner wasn't overwhelming like other cleaners I've had. My only complaint is that the furniture was not dry in an hour as advertised. It took about 3 hours for everything to dry completely. I would hire this company again in the future.
Mr. Fahnestock arrived on time, was professional and friendly, and he began working immediately after taking a few moments to get his equipment set up. The job was completed in a reasonable amount of time, and I agreed to the optional odor eliminator and stain removal procedures since he said he wouldn't charge for them if they failed. They did fail, but not until a few days later when we noticed the stains still on the carpet, and I detected a hint of the old odor since then. I decided not to press the issue because I figured it would have taken a miracle to get those issues resolved anyway, and an honest effort was made to take care of them.
The only issue I had with the entire procedure was the length of time it took to dry. With three box fans going full blast, it took all night and into the next morning to get the floor dried. We had been told it would only take an hour or so. But it's dry now, the furniture is back in place, and I'm satisfied with the carpet cleaning overall.
"We always try to do the best job we can for our customers while keeping the total cost as low as possible. With all of the red stains that were present and the difficulty that we were having with a few of them, we got most of them completely and others mostly, and only charged $20 for the 30 minutes or so spent working on them. Sometimes they are very deep and may come back up when the carpet dries, and we certainly can come finish them off, but again, we wanted to keep the cost down for you. We apologize that a few of the red stains re-surfaced later. With regard to the wet carpets, that is a very unusual situation for our method. We use 20x less water than steam cleaners, and in your instance, used less than 2 gallons of water total. It is possible with the humidity that it kept moisture in the fibers longer, but with box fans going, our carpets usually take less than 30 minutes to dry. So again, we apologize for the very unusual situation of your carpets still being damp for longer. Thank you for your feedback, and we will use all customer responses and information to become better every day at what we do. We feel that we have the best carpet cleaning product and company in the market, and we will continue to work to get better. With kindest regards, Eric Fahnestock Franchisee"
