They were very professional and kind, they quoted a very fair price for A/C replacement. The work was completed on time and exactly as they said it would be. I was even able to trust them with a lock box on my door. They communicated well and I would recommend them 100% to anyone that needs a/c work.

On the day of the install, December 5th, which installation I had previously been told would begin early in the morning because it would take all day, I heard nothing from Hanna. I waited and waited for someone to call or come. At 10 am I finally called Hanna to ask if they were going to come, as I had not even received a phone call from them as to why they were late. The receptionist assured me someone would be coming. Eventually the installers arrived. The work seemed to go fine, they took time off for lunch. I was okay with the way things went that day except for some screws and sharp pieces of metal left on my carpeting. I did have to ask them to replace some furniture in my basement which they had moved. I do wish I hadn't had to ask them to put furniture back, as the company's representative had not informed me the movement of furniture would be necessary when they had come out to give the bid. By the time the job was finished it was after 5:30 pm. A few days later I received a letter from Hanna informing me I would need to call to schedule a city inspector to approve the installation. I called the city and was told that the company does that and they shouldn't have sent me that letter. This left me puzzled. Eventually, the company told me they needed to get the furnace inspected. I stayed home for the inspector to come. The installation was not approved; it needed corrections, including the venting of exhaust gas from the furnace, which wasn't done properly. This was the 4th of January. The inspector said he would notify the company. I was afraid to sleep at my house with the furnace exhaust not being done properly. On Jan 18th I found my cell phone had Hanna's phone number on it from the previous day, but no message. I called Hanna to see if they were going to do the correction on my furnace. I scheduled it for the next morning and asked them to call me before the representative would be arriving. I had hoped to be given enough time to drive to my house; the representative of the company who phoned me sounded disappointed when I told her it would take me 20 min to be available. I replied that maybe I could make it 15. When I arrived at my home I found a Hanna van parked in my driveway, preventing me from parking in my own driveway. I had to park in the street. As I approached the representative got out of his van. I mentioned I would rather he hadn't parked in my driveway. He said, "Oh I thought you were home." After I let the representative into my house he unfortunately did not explain what he would be doing. As I passed the kitchen I noticed him there at my kitchen sink, getting water and stirring up something. It would have been nice if he had communicated to me what he needed and what he was doing and going to do. Instead he was just silent. As I am not familiar with heating nor air conditioning work it would have been very nice to at least be communicated with. Eventually there was another ringing of my doorbell. I didn't know who this was. As a woman who has been through sexual assault I do not answer the door unless I am expecting someone. Evidently this was the city inspector to inspect my furnace. It would have been considerate of the representative to have informed me there would be another man coming to my house so I could have been prepared and not had to go through this anxiety. Eventually the city inspector reappeared and I asked him if everything was okay. He said it was and left. The Hanna representative eventually reappeared and said I needed to pay the rest of the bill. I said I would call and pay. He stood there in my house watching me as I worked. Eventually he said, "I can take a check if you'd like to give me one." I said I didn't have a check with me and I was going to call and pay by credit card. He still stood there in my house as I tried to work. After several minutes I was getting more uncomfortable with him standing there in my family room watching me. I walked through my kitchen and living room to the front door and opened it and I said to him, "The front door is here." After this man left I called Hanna wanting to discuss his behavior; I was pressured to pay the remaining $620 of the bill and threatened that my bill would be sent to collection the next morning if I did not pay by 5 pm on the 19th of Jan. This after I had spent 2 weeks afraid to sleep in my house because the furnace exhaust was not correctly done. I asked for a discount due to the installation not having been done correctly in the first place. I was told my remaining bill of $622 would be sent to collection the next morning if not paid by 5 pm Jan 19th. This after I had paid almost the entire bill and spent 2 weeks waiting. The Metropolitan Area Building and Construction Department notifies the company automatically by email at 5 pm or at the latest, at midnight on the day of inspection (Jan 4th) that the correction needs to be made. Hanna should have corrected this problem right away instead of waiting so many days. And then, for them to threaten to send the tiny amount remaining on my bill to collection is unprofessional.

When our A/C died over the weekend in triple digit hot weather, I called several companies to get on their list for service.  The only company that called me back first thing Monday morning was Hanna Heating and Air Conditioning Co. in Andover, KS.  They actually called before 8 a.m. and said that someone could be at our house that same afternoon.  He arrived about noon, and since we had several repairs on the system that is now 20 years old, I chose not to purchase a new blower for approx. $500, and instead chose a new system.  They were able to get me on their schedule for Thursday of that same week.  John and Ray arrived at 8:30 in the morning on Thursday and worked straight through until 4:30 to get everything installed, checked, and running.  Our home is cool and comfortable again, and the new system is quiet!!  John and Ray were very respectful of our home and property, were both very professional about their work, and obviously very experienced, too.  We will continue to use Hanna to service our new system in the Spring and Fall to keep it running smoothly.  Also, the next day I went online to the Trane website to register the new system.  The site was somewhat confusing, and I called the front office at Hanna.  She was very nice and walked me through with entering all of the model and serial numbers for the air conditioner, coil, furnace, and thermostat.  I will highly recommend Hanna in Andover to my friends and acquaintances.

As usual, the service technician was on time and courteous.

He gently reminded me that my heater was getting very old (15 years) and might need replacing in a couple of years; he never aggressively tried to sell me on buying a new heater.
