Haddock's repair tech was rude when I insisted that he emerge from the service area to give me more details on the issue with the computer. I searched the Apple site and discovered that another company had Apple certified repair. I took the computer there; they found a blown circuit on the power inverter board. I'm attaching a photo; even to an untrained person, the problem with the board is obvious. I don't know whether Haddock didn't even look at the computer, or whether they looked and didn't see the obviously blown component. The other company helped me order the replacement part from the Apple site. Cost of part $85--less than what Haddock charged me to experience their rude and less competent service department.
