The work was done fairly quick but there where gaps in the foot they never mentioned and the laminate would sink. Also the stairs started to make a noise once again did not mentioned anything. I called they came out made the issue withe sinking laminate worse, never fixed the stairs and the person who did the job brought his teenager and asked my wife to heat up his good. I complained and never heard back from them. Go with a more professional company.

It looks bad and they can’t seem to figure it out. I’m sure they are good for flooring but can’t recommend them for concrete. We are going to have to put pavers on top of the concrete to hide the job they did.

This company is amazing. Janell handled the scheduling and office tasks. She was always available and friendly. The team of workers were great. They were professional and nice. They did a super job. They took their time to do a great job. The old and new floors were continuous and you can not tell which wood is new and which is old. The price was the best after comparison shopping and the quality no one in Kansas was able to even come close. Excellent company. Period.

Floors look great. David was very particular in all aspects of his installation, particularly in doing a great job of lacing in a portion of the current wood floor with the new. Clarence did the sanding and staining and was very patient in working with me to choose the right stain. Both men very pleasant and professional, returning any phone calls promptly.

They started the job the day they told me, but the crew did not always arrive at the same time each day, so it left me waiting for them or not sure when they would show up. Forman was not always present and I would have preferred that he supervise the work the entire time to keep an eye on their workmanship. The finish work could have been a little better. But they did promptly come back to correct the issues I had.
I was rather surprised that the salesrep/customer service/owner never contacted me during or after the installation to see how the job was going.

They did a great job. Service was professional, punctual, and excellent. The carpenter was gracious to let our two small boys (1 & 3 yrs) watch when it was safe enough. The floors looked gorgeous & I was sorry I hadn't had the work done earlier.

The guys arrived at 7:30am on Monday and did most of the work. They returned on Tuesday and Thursday to put more coats of poly on. We were able to walk on the floors on Friday and put the furniture back on Saturday. They did a terrific job. You can't even tell where the new wood was put in where they repaired it. We decided to keep the natural wood tone and it is just beautiful! The smell is bad so be prepared. Also, you will need to touch up on your baseboard trim. We also opted not to use the "dust free" service they offered for an extra $300. We just taped off the rooms and the built in cabinets. Sure there was dust but there wasn't a tremendous amount. The workers are polite and professional. From the beginning bid, through the people on the phone and the guys who did the work, we couldn't be more pleased!!!

They were prompt and on schedule. They had suggestions and advise for me on both projects that I took them up on and very glad I did. I thought the price was very good for the quality job they did on the hardwood floors. I felt the price was high for the kitchen floor, but I love that new floor and that vinyl looks like it will hold up for a long time. I plan on calling them again when it is time to pull up the carpet in the bedrooms and have those floors refinished.

Pam and Larry were very responsive to making arrangements to visit our home and provide options and advice for the selection of materials that would look great, be very durable and would fit our flooring budget. They allowed us some time to evaluate bids and options without any high pressure follow up. When we were ready, Pam and Larry made after hours arrangements to meet us at their showroom to finalize selections, provide a very detailed estimate and schedule the work. The installers were able to fit us into their schedule very quickly. The installation was quick, efficient and exactly what was described in the scope of work. There were a couple of rather minor details to take care of on a punch list which the installers took care of within one business day. Overall the experience with Pam, Larry and Great American Flooring was top notch!

They installed the original oak flooring in our home 10 years ago. Very nice job. During a recent remodel, we had them refinish the flooring in a dark espresso. All the work was great. When the final finish had just a few blemishes in it, they came out and put on another coat, no problem! When they said that they wanted us to be perfectly happy with the work, they meant it. We would highly recommend this company.

It went very well. Used dust extraction ($300 extra) and ended up with almost no sanding dust. Stain odor was fairly strong (we stayed in the house throughout the process) but sealer coats were less objectionable. Odor on reentry from outside took 15 - 18 days to completely disappear. Very pleasant interaction with the refinisher; no interaction with his young assistant. $75 charge for moving the refrigerator was excessive in my opinion, I could have done it myself as I have a heavy-duty appliance dolly. Moving took only a few minutes into another room and back.

Generally, they did a good job with the floors, and we are satisfied. The main problems were in delays and missed promises as to when they would be working and finishing. The delays caused us problems because it used our time and caused inconvenience. They were simply too busy and could not meet all of their commitments on time. On some scheduled days they did not come. Our advice to those who would use their services is to pin them down as to time.

"Although we are very good at scheduling our projects there is always the possibility of unforeseen problems. This project was full of them. There was vinyl glued to the concrete under the carpet we removed. The concrete was unlevel and needed to be grinded which is something only GAHF can do since we also polish concrete. We had to use leveling compound to make the floor level. We found hidden wires behind the baseboards and the power outlets for our 220 did not work requiring us to wire directly into the box. We worked on a Saturday and Sunday as well as late hours trying to make the best of a bad situation. We did not have too many commitments but our other customers do have a limit to how many times we tell them we are still on the previous project. I hope the owners understand how difficult this project was for us to handle and that people understand we made the best of a situation that we could not have predicted."

He finished the work in 5 days. The flooring is beautiful and I love the new baseboards. The owner came to my house to make the estimate and was here the day work was started. The owner has a showroom where I picked out my laminate flooring. I was going to tile the floor myself, and bought the porcelain tile 2 years ago, but then I hurt my back and couldn't do it. He used the tile I bought to tile my house for me.

We purchased prefinished solid oak flooring (but not enough), and after receiving a fair estimate from Great American Hardwood Flooring, had them come out and install it. They were punctual, polite, professional and FAST. They completed in one day what other installers said would take 2 to 3 days. In fact, we were short on our purchase by just a few boards and they were unable to complete the job on the first visit. At no additional cost to us, they came out and finished installing the last 6 pieces of flooring--after we purchased an additional box. I was so impressed. We have additional flooring to install in the rest of our house, and we will definitely use this company again...and again...and again... Thanks.
