We paid to have front yard replaced and we did not get what we paid for. There was not a signed contract with this. Our opinion is that he should have killed, tilled and reseeded. He proceeded to charge us with no results.
Response from Eden Lawn and Tree
"Hi, [Member Name Removed]. It sounds like you followed our watering instructions very well, and that is great. It is the most common cause for lawn seed not to germinate. If you wish not to do bermuda seed again, fescue sod in the fall is the easiest to nurture and least likely option to fail in our Kansas climate. Here is a description of what our office notes say we did for you: We walked your husband through bermuda vs fescue and seed vs sod with all their pros and cons. After viewing the written estimate of $500 we gave him, he decided to go with seeding his lawn with bermuda seed in June 2017. We killed the existing lawn, waited two weeks, tilled, leveled the soil, seeded 10lbs on your 2000 ft2 yard, raked seed under a slight layer of soil, applied a starter fertilizer, and taught your husband how to care for the grass seed after we were done. 8 weeks later he asked for an application of herbicide to kill off the emerging weeds which cost our $80 minimum. In the end, we do not know why your seed did not germinate. All the conditions seemed perfect for it to germinate including the ever-erratic weather. When dealing with outdoor living organisms, there are so many factors in play to influence the outcome. We truly hope you end up with a yard you can thoroughly enjoy!"
