We hired this company because we were starting to get cracks in a basement wall that was moving slightly. The first guy, the estimator, said they would stabilize the wall and if all the drywall is taken off they will also seal the cracks while they are there. They came out early March to stabilize the wall and those guys said they will not do anything to the cracks since they were only there for the stabilization, not waterproofing since that was a separate package. Ok, no big deal we have never had any water issues so we weren't concerned, everything seemed fine. Fast forward a month and the first big rain storm- there is now water coming in from the corner of the wall they 'fixed' and another wall. We called them and they sent someone out. That guy said that's a completely separate issue, has nothing to do with the work they did. There is also now white mineral growth coming up around the bottom of the concrete footings they installed for the beams. I get that we did not hire them for water issues but that is because we didn't have any until after they did work on that wall. I hired them because I felt like they were going to treat us fairly and fix my home. I was confident that by hiring them my house would be safe and structurally sound when they were done. That ended up not the experience I had with this company. And now after spending thousands of dollars I have even more issues than I started with and will have to spend even more to fix the new problems.

"We are disappointed that Dry Basement, Inc. has fallen short of your expectations. We examined the documents to find you were satisfied on the completion date and signed off accordingly. Basement Engineering certified the project was completed to design specifications. So, the scope of work contracted per the agreement between Brennan [Member Name Removed] and Dry Basement, Inc. SO there are not misunderstandings our agreements are very specific. See the attached contract: 1. Page 2 Item 5 initialed by Mr. [Member Name Removed]: (Wall cracks are not under warranty unless a No-Water System is installed.) 2. Page 2 Item 8 initialed by Mr. [Member Name Removed]: (If scope of work does not include the No-Water System, there is no waterproofing warranty of any kind.) 3. Page 4 42 Year Limited Warranty Box 3rd Sentence: (there is no guarantee against water leakage unless specifically addressed by an additional installation specification sheet attached to this agreement. 4. Page 6 Limited Warranty second paragraph undersigned and dated by Mr. [Member Name Removed]: (This warranty does not cover any water leakage unless specifically addressed by an additional installation specification sheet, unless attached to the agreement. In regard to sealing the cracks, we do not offer this without a clear disclaimer and a No-Water System with Dry Shield over the sealant, or a cosmetic crack filler only. Neither of which is on the contract. We will be happy to schedule an evaluation and provide a quote. Please let us know how we may further assist you. Sincerely, Dry Basement, Inc."

The guys were friendly enough. Arrived on time. The job itself looks a bit sloppy. Don't think that the cracks and leaks were actually fixed. A membrane was just put up on the wall. In a couple of places, it appears that the membrane may separate from the wall. Clean up was not done very well. I am still sweeping pieces of concrete rubble. As I was going through the final walk through, I noticed that an antique crockery urn had been busted into several pieces.Not sure how it could have been broken as I had placed it out of the way. If I had not noticed, I don't think anything would have been said about it.

They were done in two days and did a remarkable job considering the lack of space between my house and the neighbor's. Their work is guaranteed for over 40 years and is transferable. I will not be leaving a mess for a future home owner like what was left for me!

Everything went well. There was a conflict/misunderstanding between contract and materials which they promptly adjusted in my favor. I ended up saving money for a better job than a competitor quoted.
