We had a supervisor assigned to us based on the home he was supervising -- Tony was our guy. Very nice person, very easy to deal with. All of the people from Sharp were great. I found them to be honest and reliable -- they'd do what they said they'd do. Their subcontractors also were pretty reliable and quality conscious. Lots of integrity, which you sadly don't see much in this industry. No issues with our finish date. They were right on time -- in fact, they rushed the job so we could move in a little early. In fact, we were just days away from being in-between houses and Craig Sharp let us move in early. He felt we'd been good to deal with and wanted to return the favor.

Everything we did with this builder was frustrating. A model home with this floor plan had been built in the development. We loved the floor plan (and still do), so we decided to build one. Once we selected our options and had a price, it quickly went south. They initially gave us a list of what to pick out and when we needed to know our selections. They said that Star Lumber design center could help, but they gave us a new design consultant who couldn't help us. We had to do a lot of the selection work on our own. They worked quickly, but were often delayed by their own problems. They forget to order a window which held things up for a week or two. The stone we selected was ordered by us and they sat in our yard for a number of weeks b/c their sub was unreliable. They installed the electric meter in a place that interfered with the installation of the deck even though they knew how the deck was going to be installed. They had to reorder two cracked cabinet doors that took two months to get in. The tile in our basement bath is still not level after being "fixed" 3 times. The paint job throughout the house looks like it was done by a 3rd grade. They tried to get away with not installing quarter round over our hardwood floors even though you could see a gap between the floor and the baseboard. Several of the doors did not seal properly. Throughout all of this, we had to direct them on what to do/fix -- including the subs and super. There was not one phase of the construction process (other than the roof) that they didn't do without making a mistake. After we closed, they have not been nearly as responsive as they promised. We had to call or email them at least twice to get anything scheduled. Often, it was still not fixed correctly. There's much more to add, but you should be able to get the point as is. Again, we love the floor plan. I think that structurally our home is a good one. However, the finish work and customer service are pathetic.
