Alterations/Sewing/Decorating
$32
He did a wonderful job of sewing on the patches; however, when it came time to be fitted for the new chaps, he has his own idea of how they should fit you- "tight". I prefer mine slightly loose to allow movement of knees without stretching the leather and/or cutting off blood flow while sitting for long rides. The owner will argue with you over this, & gets quite annoyed that you aren't listening to him & taking his "expert" opinion. I've been riding 37 years & know how my chaps should fit. This leads to the pair that I had altered- after much arguing over the matter, I thought we had it straight on how they would fit when I got them back. Well, they were correct in the thighs & knees, but he fit the bottoms (that snap around the boots) so small that they barely snap shut. He did good sewing, but gets an "F" for giving the customer what they want, so a pair of $200 chaps are now too tight at the snaps & I'm PO'd. He's lost my business for alterations.
